  • at 1:27 i see that at the start of each row there is a miss. is that the gps antenna that cant hold the line? or is the the autopilot being slow/sluggish to bring the machine onto line? i have the heard of both being problems with the trimble system.

  • Thanks for the reply DFarms001, currently the 35 is marking A-B Lines for new irrigation channels to be dug out for our Valley Lateral Move which is coming in about months time so i'll look into it shortly.

  • Was that 9520 greenstar or autosteer ready or did u have to fit the complete trimble outfit...reason i ask is you use the resume switch on the armrest. We have a Cat Challenger 35 w/Trimble AutoPilot w/FMX Display and we either use the resume on the display or the optional foot operated switch which i hate.. Would rather a resume switch on the armrest. So how is the armrest resume switch communicating to the trimble system?

  • @MT865 It was GreenStar and AutoTrak ready but I still had to put that resume switch in. I've installed several AutoPilots with the resume switches and it is not that hard to do. Ask your Trimble dealer to do it for you, if they say it is too hard or it can't be done they are full of it. I agree with you though, I hate the foot pedal too! The switch plugs into the same harness where the footswitch plugs into, both are pretty much the same.

  • @DFarms001 okay.. well i have noticed that too, and have the same ?..... So all you need is a "rocker switch''?? does it matter what prong is on the back or does it matter if it is a continious switch or momentery? the would be a great help to me DFARMS.. if there is no modifing other than knock out your punch out, then hook the switch up ( how ever many prongs are needed on the back of the switch) and plug it in to the harness where the switch goes.. so help please

  • Hi, can I ask, do you do any precision work with that tractor like seeding ? I run a Massey artic and I'm hesitant over placing an order for a 750 with EZ steer as on light work the tractor tends to steer the back end until it pushes the nose where it should be then it straightens up. Also can you tell me exactly where you mounted the antenna. Many thanks and great vids

  • @appybei That tractor is too heavy for seeding but I would not be afraid to use it for seeding. You should be fine with that system, I have seen much older equipment with ez-steer and it works just fine. I mounted the antenna on the front of the cab but on the old 4wd I made a bracket that put the antenna on top of the cab but over the front axle.

  • Hi dfarms! where did you recorded this video? Trimble is a good autopilot? my farm buy 4 new trimble. they will arrive in the new year, for the spring works.... thanks

    Steven from Italy

  • @Stefano181085 This video was recorded on a farm we rent right in the middle of the US. Trimble is very good equipment you will like it alot.

  • That looks just to easy! Love it!

  • @dairyfarmer83 It is way too easy! I had to pick my jaw back up off of the floor the first time I see the tractor turn back in and follow the furrow perfectly. And IMS just makes it that much nicer.

  • do yo guys still have that older articulate john deere

  • @refriedrindog Nope, it's gone.

  • did you tie in the trimble stuff yourself to the autotrac on the JD?

  • @NA2k5 Yes, Trimble makes a kit.
