  • A while back Guidos were Young Italian American men who had a certain swagger about them. Overly macho. It is more of American thing than it is Italian. I do not know of any Italians who have arrived in the U.S. recently and all of a sudden want to wear athletic shirts, jewelry, and wear their hair in a huge spikey ball with the sides perfectly shaven. Nowadays the style has evolved and is adopted by anyone in the New York/New Jersey area who chooses the style.
