hey great vid i am making a list of parts i need to buy, can i use music wire, i don't know what kind like how big? and what is the real name of the quick connects i'm looking on horizon hobby and can't find quick connects? thanks
@Colombiandaniel : the Rod has to be fairly stiff in order to push the canopy open and hold it there. I used linkage rods. Go to your local hobby shop that sells RC models. Ask for quick connects and linkage rods. Trying to order these small parts may prove frustrating.
By having it flip forward, the air flows around it pretty well. It does slow it down a touch, but it flys fine open. I've dropped parachutes out of it now around the 100 times mark, and it always performs great. The kids really love it!
It depends on the parachute guy you use. For my heavy GI JOE parachute guy, I have to flip inverted to drop him out. When I use lighter parachute people, they get sucked out of the cockpit.
If the Receiver Smokes, then chances are it is now no good. Its possible too much power got sent to it, which could indicate bad ESC. Was there anything unusual that happened before it smoked?
i gess i fryed it my self, i put the battery in the 4 pin place i just got it and was gone for a week and the motor would go to throtle and i smoked it, so what do i do?
The Battery Connects to the ESC, not the Receiver. If you plug a 3cell 11.1volt Lipo, or even a 2cell 7.4volt lipo into the Receiver, it will Cook it! Are you using the Stock 72mhz receiver? If so, you'll have to order a new receiver on the same channel from horizon hobby or your Local Hobby Shop.
The ESC plugs into the Throttle socket, and the battery plugs into ESC. The ESC reduces the power that goes to the receiver keeping it from cooking.
No, the T-28 works off 2.4Ghz Receiver. The Xport was designed around the 27Mhz Parkzone TX and RX. It would be a major downgrade for the T-28 to go to that TX/RX.
There is another way to attach the Rod to the disc on the servo. Instead of sticking the rod through the holes at opposite ends and struggling with wrapping, you could use 2 ez-connects on opposite ends of the disc. Then slide the rod through each ez-connect, tighten down and done. If I ever have to take mine apart or rebuild, that is how I'll redo it.
IS that A Spektrum DX7?
If so do you like it?

I upgraded mine to the Ar6200 2.4ghz. I orginally got the Ready to Fly, which came with the 72mhz Tx&Rx and yes, it had xport.
Thanks for watching!

Nice Explanation and close ups. Im sending my wife out to buy a T-28 for me so I can start this project. Thanks for making this video.
Do I have to put it on Gear? Can I put it on Flap Switch? I hate using the inside switches, I always flip the wrong one.
Thanks again!
SkyFlyerRC 3 years ago
you dont have to put it on gear, any extra channel that is switch activated will work. good luck!
