I skate in northampton now, and you wouldnt believe how different it is now. it seems so weird that pretty much every legendary pro has been to my hometown
look how much skateboardings style changed in 2 years at that time, in 93 everyone was all baggypants tiny weels and funky tricks that bounced across the ground.
I'm not hating on the new styles. They just seem to upright and suburban. Billy Rohan and most of the NYC skaters still have the true to street style.
Come on guys, no one's gonna stop us sessioning a curb for four hours and loving it like we did back then. Some of those tricks had only been around for 4 or 5 years at that point, no wonder you don't see em throwing em down 21 stairs in this video.
This was before style died. Now everything is all stiff, and upright. Everyone is doing the same stuff repeatedly in videos now days while wearing glamor pussy themed cloths like those fake personality ramones fuckers. Nothing has depth anymore.
That's weird, I agree w/netrunner that the style was better in professional skating back then. Now it's all about going big & wearing tighter pants for some reason.
