Hearing that tune has just unlocked a part of my brain I never thought I would access again. I grew up with this channel it really was a big part of my life. So sad the crap they make for kids today is just terrible
i always saw on tcc in the end of the 80`s. i did get a t-shirt and a cup in 1990 after they had a competition on tv. i don`remember the tv-series witch went there.
I don't think it was used from day one. I've seen (bad quality) footage of the channel's early days around late '84/early '85 and it used a different ident, though it was the same logo on a black background.
i miss this, I started watching it when it first stated on intelsat, I used it to find the satellite as it was the first channel at the lowest end when tuning the receiver.
This intro was actually from 1987 when CGI improved from 1984 - 1987 The star did not spin!!! Man I use to LOVE the Children Channel I had my name mention on there when I was 7 or 8 years old!!!

the ident was used from launch 1984 until early 1990.
