  • where's my kayak

  • Thank you for posting this most amazing Video. Great Photograph and very educational.

  • i was expecting to see a big 50 ft tidal and all i got was a kiddie wave -_-

  • this is not a tidal wave, its a weird overfload...

  • Thank you for posting this interesting and beautiful video; much more interesting and pretty than where I am at right now!

    Have a good day.

But next time could we please do WITHOUT the advertisement? I know lots of folks do advertisements before videos, but that does not make it logical.

Still the video was great; thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • Aw man, now i gotta find crawlinjohn's comment..

  • so wats more destructive a tsunami or a tidal wave??

  • Gorgeous footage, though!

  • HOLY FUCK GOING THERE WHEN I VACATION THERE...

  • I hate being forced to watch an advertisement ... thumbs down for that!!!!!!!!!!

  • this vidio made me pee

  • hate to build a house there

  • Could only be people from the usa who would want to build something and ruin more of the planet. We don't need all the rubbish we have created. This place a natural phenomena and simply exists. Nothing need be done...... it doesn't need to be USED for anything least of all humanity's greed for more ways to serve its meaningless lives.

  • @globalmanlover - It's all perspective. You could say that we want to preserve natural areas to please us and enjoy in our meaningless lives for a different reason than enjoying elctricity for another reason. It is pretty uneversal that we mess with nature whereever we go, even Austrailians

  • It's not north eastern...it's north western australia..in the state of Western Australia.

  • 2:25 Dragon

  • seriously i watched video a couple of times and dint understand shit!!

  • so you can take a ride in and out?

  • @crawlinjohn @ mdc640

It would be a great place wouldn't it? But yeah, it would ruin the natural beauty, and there would be no point considering the closest densely populated urban area is about 1000KMs away. Resistance in the power lines would cause too much power loss for it to be efficient.

  • CytherLynx.....LOL

  • it's a big ass toilet bowl...beautiful nonetheless!!

  • Canoe... Check, Paddle... Check, Cookies!!! Off we go.

  • cool

  • That is amazingly scary!!!

  • That reminds me of the Hot wheels race tracks with the boosts that shoot the cars around the tracks!!! omg lets try it with a fucking house boat!1

  • Amazing video. It has made me spellbound.

  • i bet that would be great for fishing

  • Australia is so big and has so few people that most people have never seen parts of the country.

  • Hey maybe that's where Tail Spin takes place!

  • You're right mr vodafone. It sounds silly, wait no, it sounds fukin pathetic. In the words of the great late Bill Hicks, kill yourself. Over bearing advertizing polluting the airwaves.

  • Surprised not to see some crazy-ass bastid kayakers riding those currents...

  • I always give a thumbs down to 'thumbs up' comments, because frankly I think that person is almost always an attention seeking cunt.

  • @StevieVaibanez there u go i gave u a thumbs down i think your an attention seeking cunt

  • B00:00RN this WAY!

  • I see two ways to turn it into a hydroelectric generator. First by boring down into the rock to build turbine chambers, later opening tunnels to allow flow in/out of turbines, then closing the natural openings with gates. Second is the energy of the rises and fall, as this might be harnessed to produce clean, free, electricity. The effect could also be duplicated by man, sparing the natural wonder.

  • @borderraven

you just pissed me off an made a great idea yay for natural power and boo for ruining a great natural wonder:D

  • @cuddlynoob420, Man can preserve a natural wonder by duplicating it.

  • @borderraven

No point in duplicating that was made naturally wouldn't be known as Natural Wonder then.

  • @cuddlynoob420, I was talking about harnessing the energy of Nature.

  • but to thejakester79, he was quoting "Dumb and Dumber" about the Austria/Australia thing. Come on now.

  • charlie sheen.

  • That was pretty cool.. but to the moron that said Austria... just so ya know, thats different from Australia.. in Australia they speak English because it was settled by the Brits. they speak German in Austria.. just a little F.Y.I. for all those confused, or just too dumb to know the difference between an island/continent in the southern hemisphere, and a country in europe.

  • I'm a Sea Kayaker, and Scuba Diver, and have been through, and dived in some extreme tidal races, and when the water flows downhill as it does here, you know it is awesome!!

  • people die there trying to get a look :/

  • "Austria? well, G'day mate, lets throw another shrimp on the barbie"

  • malcolm douglas goes boating there.., check it out, amazing!! rip malcolm douglas, someone to look upto :(

  • whats with these fuckging ads?

  • NEW ZEALAND <3 IS THA BEST

  • thank goodness for the moon !

  • man... David attenborough could read the dictionary and i'd still listen with wonder.

  • @CytherLynx YEP GOT TO AGREE WITH YOU HE IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT

  • @CytherLynx haha yea, he is THE narrator voice.

  • @xXnXnXnXx no really????ah thats why it says so in the description then

  • @IGranturismo There was a reason i typed THE with caps, I meant like he is the answer to every narrator voices. Like he is the true narrator voice.. bah, dont care to explain any further.

  • @xXnXnXnXx But I thought it was David attenborough who was speaking???:O

  • @IGranturismo go away.

  • @xXnXnXnXx lol >:)

  • I wasn't really paying attention to the narration, but does this shit happen every day or is it based on high/low tides?

  • @89bilefroth Generally twice daily, but the strength of it varies over the course of a couple weeks, depending on the strength of the tide.

  • @89bilefroth high and low tides happen everyday.., so this would happen everyday :) amazing place, you can leave your boat somewhere, go make dinner, and next thing you know, your boat is 10meters out of the water, most amazing place in the world!

  • I like films like this

  • THIS SHIT WAS BOARING

  • Secure a hydro turbine and hey presto instant endless electricity supply for all of Aussie.

  • @eckyspondoolie great fuck off idiot

  • @monki600 actually I will wear that. I have researched free energy. Look at the youtube clip called

testing large Milkovic 2 stage oscillator Video 6

    this clip should go global.

  • That Place is beautiful! =D

  • 40 brainless idiots

  • I don't know about anyone else, but that kind of creeps me out.

  • how good would the fishing be there holy crap.....

  • hmm lets see, "very few people has seen this"... 482,791 views. not many people huh?

  • Must find out how the topography of this feature was created, it must have been a pretty curious set of events.

  • Smells like hydro electric power. Is this a remote spot.

  • David Attenborough is the reason I pay my TV licence.

  • Quite the interesting video. And quite the spectacular tidal action.

The Bay of Fundy between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia has the highest tides in the world with tidal differences of over 62 feet measured at Burncoat Cape. And, a higher rate of water flow occurs at mid-tide past Cape Spit than occurs in all the rivers of the world combined.

But, the tidal action is slow and steady, and doesn't have the spectacular effect that this location in Australia does.

  • a couple of nukes otta fix that!!!

  • this were tail spin was made

  • @ bombsawayd

Agreed ! Gran Canyon was curved by huge tides and so also huge old now dry rivers in deserts of NW Australia.

  • Yes such huge power shoud be used

    see Mitic climate engineering

  • They need to put some turbines into that 20 foot opening and capture some of that abundant, beautiful, natural source of energy!

  • @pamelashrink

Agreed! All of the hard work is already done... Just add TURBINE! This is being completely wasted by not using it.

  • look at all the water moving thru there. and the crack in the landscape is only like 10 feet across. and some people are still stupid enough to believe the colorado river carved the grand canyon.

  • My brain just had an erection.

  • Good place to stick a hydroelectric generator!

  • @crawlinjohn yes.!

  • @crawlinjohn I can see you love mother nature.., one of the most beatiful places in the world, and you want to place a generator there..., thats disgusting!

  • @crawlinjohn

What happens during the reverse of the tide?

  • @crawlinjohn It's a very long way to the closest community - at least 500km so not very efficient to transport the energy. I used to work there on a pearl farm so am aware of this!

  • @crawlinjohn seriously!!

  • @crawlinjohn besides all the fish that need it to migrate

  • @crawlinjohn

and ruin the natural beauty of the area? Not to mention damage the ecosystem?

  • @mdc640 It's north eastern Australia, there's fuck all there.

  • @crawlinjohn

and ruin the natural beauty of the area? Not to mention damage the ecosystem?

  • @crawlinjohn Only if you'd like to destroy the natural beauty. But that would be an awesome source of power if people lived near the area.

  • @crawlinjohn And ruin a currently unspoilt natural area. No thanks.

  • @crawlinjohn Could stick one up your ass

  • Bugger going through THAT in a canoe !!

What a fantastic planet we live on !!

  • lurrrrve David Attenborough :D

  • 32 people consider Justin Beaver a NAtural wonder... What an ass

  • i have gone there!!! ITS AWESOME

  • sucks if you set up camp there unknowingly.

  • We need some fucking hydro turbines hooked up to this.

  • this reminds me of tailspin the cartoon

  • @cossintan1 Thumbs up for Australia!!!

  • well looks like the trees are being fed :)

  • Now getting in a rubber dingy and getting sucked out of that gap would be fun!

  • makes you wanna throw a kangaroo on the barbie

  • incredible

  • @Paintfiend123 scs non ho capito cosa succede potresti spiegare

  • @alessandrorigoldi haha you what mate?

  • I love this clip. Can't seem to watch it enough!! More people gotta see this!

  • and the world is still taught that the moon pulls the water around lol

  • @cjellwood then what does mr scientist man

  • where do you see any "waves" in this?

  • @scuderiafrank "tidal waves" not the ordinary ones

  • woop now lets go swimming

  • Did they use this place for the Return of the Mummy movie?

  • nope it is my country... The Beautiful Gorgeous Paradise Island " THE PHILIPPINES"

  • There is nothing more enjoyable than spending a week long vacation with your loved ones at the Victorian charm of the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, Delaware.

  • amazing beauty of mother earth ....

  • Of course they use a british narrator.

  • @Strategy5659

No way, Sir David Attenborough is british, BBC is british and you wonder why they used a british narrator?! FYI: it's Attenborough himself narrating this

  • @666Tomato666 I'm not seeing your point...

  • @Strategy5659 BBC is the oldest brittish channel... I hope that helped. They often use brittish narrators of course. And it´s Attenborough, one of the greatest natural finders you can get. If anyone knows anything about nature it´s that guy... don´t tell me you tell ill of him...

  • @Strategy5659 dude its BBC

  • @Strategy5659 the point is the whole show is british so, of course, they used a british narrator.

  • odd

  • Anyon think of Hydro power...that would be super efficient!

  • weres the tidal wave

  • @cod788 i know the titale lied how dare it!

  • amazing places

I dont know why some idiots makes DISLIKE

they are really dump people just to do something stupid like their stupid minds

  • @morpherz Yeah, really dump.

  • @morpherz what are dump people people made out of shit or something?

  • @WoWgirlscool24

people who make DISLIKE for great video are dump

  • @iBekr u mean people are shit

  • Comment removed

  • @WoWgirlscool24

Yes the people who make DISLIKE for this video is DUMP

.... that is my opinion !

  • @morpherz hahaahah you said dump ahahahahahaha i have to take a dump hahaahahahah just kidding

  • @morpherz different interests? calling someone you don't know dumb, makes you the dumb one.

  • @morpherz learn proprer english, your comments make you look stupid -

  • @mmp3pets

I'm not from US or UK to speak English professionally because is not my native language .

Can you type 2 words in albanian?

  • @mmp3pets its proper, not proprer. if you are going to correct someone on their spelling, your spelling better be correct. also, he's Albanian, English isn't his first language, nor is he fluent in it.

  • @Toah14

    hahaha ur smart man

    :D thanks

  • @Toah14 i dint giev a fluck there's some typos for you to fuck with as you clearly have no life loser

  • @mmp3pets

    ur english is very funny

giev and typos whats means ?

    hahhahahahahhahahahhaha

  • @mmp3pets Pointing out ones stupidity does not make me a loser, and I have a life, friends, and a hobby. Please, find somewhere else to troll.

  • @morpherz you know why are they dislikeing it? because they don't know whats good! :)

  • @morpherz FU

  • Sorry mates...but i didnt see the smallest wave

  • absolutely incredible, imagine being stuck in that at high tides, jesus h christ.

  • Earth is just a great big orgasm..

  • they call it the horizontal waterfalls

  • I wonder what it would take to harness all that energy? Obviously conventional dams and turbines won't work because the slack period is only a few hours. Maybe they should put the worlds biggest water wheel in the channel.

  • @Zyworski they could dam the two entrances to the bay and place bidirectional turbine raceways there. The turbines might get damaged by fish getting sucked through the blades though - this could be controlled by regular poison dumps on the reef to stop the fish interfering.

  • @toranamunter lol

  • @toranamunter The point I made is that there isn't enough time between raging currents to build a dam. If a dam could magically be built there is no need to poison the fish a simple screen over the intake will work just fine.

  • okey so who are those 29 ppl that disliked this movie? like - seriously.... wtf?

  • wow, it's simply amazing, it's like filling a tub up with water and then draining the tub, just beautiful!

  • Tripy...

  • @Redzyify, Trippy

  • yeah bodyboard the tidal push!!

  • @MrPilago808

yeah great idea.... it be good to get rid of a few more body boarders.

sucked to the bottom of the ocean.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks brah whats your fuckin problem

  • @MrPilago808

i wrote a silly comment to match your stupid comment ...thats all.

anyone on a body board would be sucked under in a flash (brah) lol.

if you ever saw this place youd know that its impossible to ride it on a bodyboard.

  • Comment removed

  • @Cre8iveSignWorks I ont understand how you get sucked to the buttom of the ocean

  • @frank12364

im sure you know what i mean.

  • wow our planet is so amazing!

  • Oh man that is amazing! Australia rules!

  • Visited several years ago and loved it. I was treated very well by the locals. I would certainly recommend visiting there.

  • build a hotel in the middle !!

  • ...and we're not hooking up some hydro electricity turbines to this because????

  • @eckyspondoolie I'd say it might be because of either 1) the velocity of the water is too great 2) maintenance would be difficult in this area 3) the massive change in tide means it would be quite inconsistent or 4) the government is stupid.

Probably number 4 :P the rest are just guesses because at first I wondered the same thing!

  • @eckyspondoolie Its not near anything making it extremly unpractical.

  • @eckyspondoolie Because it is a natural wonder, and who is close enough for it to serve?
