Commodus asked Maximus if he was on his side or not.

Maximus said no

Commodus said Maximus should be killed and also his familiy.

Maximus defeated the soldiers who were supposed to kill him.

He rushed back to home in Spain, but too late.

Other soldiers came back to the house and sold him

Yup, you're right. Even when 300 is based on a passage of actual history, the story ain't as rich and deep, and the characters are not as human and as well played and performed. Gladiator is one of the best movies of all times, that's for sure, and NOBODY beats Russell Crowe half naked in a gladiator suit... oh Lord, the things I'd do to that man... =P

this isn't so much of a trailer as a spoiler or compilation of speeches... but there was some nice editing in there. that first wiper cut was dreadful, but some of the other stuff was great. avoid the kids of editing that has an "effect" (like at 0:25, or again at 1:38). jump cut, cross-fade, and match cut are your three best friends. those effects? those are gaudy and defeat the purpose of editing. you NEVER want to remind your audience that they're watching a movie. make it flow.
