You would have to put the clock out of reach from the bed though, so you couldn't be tempted to shoot it from the bed. And the gun for that matter.

Actually, shooting it just puts it on a five minute snooze. To turn off the alarm, you have to get up out of bed and fiddle with the settings.

It sounds a bit less cool, but if just shot off from the gunshot, you'd probably go right back to bed.
