Also I might get shit for this but I think the comparison between Liddell/Crocop from Dana is utter nonsense. If anything Crocop is more like a superior HW version of Anderson Silva. Silva IMO is a far more technical striker than Chuck and his MT skills are more like Mirko's.
Silva got a black belt in BJJ from greatest BJJ fighter alive today, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira. Also Silva has defended himself very well against a strong grappler in Jeremy Horn. Silva is mainly a Muay Thai fighter but that's not all he can do. One way or another, Lutter is getting fucked up.

Silva certianly isn't invincible, though at this point the only person who could take him in the UFC would be Marquardt (even then I'd pick Silva. People seem to forget that Chonan was CLEARLY winning that fight even before he nailed that sub; maybe Silva had a bad night (didn't look like it), we don't know. But since Henderson and Filho aren't leaving Pride and Lindland is still pissed at the UFC I wouldn't be suprised if Silva holds it for quite some time (again, Nate could d oit).

Silva certianly isn't invincible, though at this point the only person who could take him in the UFC would be Marquardt (even then I'd pick Silva. People seem to forget that Chonan was CLEARLY winning that fight even before he nailed that sub; maybe Silva had a bad night (didn't look like it), we don't know. But since Henderson and Filho aren't leaving Pride and Lindland is still pissed at the UFC I wouldn't be suprised if Silva holds it for quite some time (again, Nate could d oit).

Silva has lost to submission before in Pride. He is weak on the groung. This is a bad match up for him. Unless he has trained jits like crazy. Drago will be fighting next pay per view, so they both got fame off that fight. Lastly Eddie Sanchez is going to get a left leg kick to the dome. If Anderson Silva beats Lutter, I have a feeling it will come via flying knee the way he took out Carlos Newton. Newton had a far superior ground game to Silva and Silva timed a flying knee to the face just as Newton went for the takedown.

i didnt know rich franklin had a virus when he fought silva. i knew he didnt look quite right. he seemed to be a little smaller too. makes sense i guess

Wow. I usually agree with most of your pics, but i gotta tell ya Dan, Lutter is going to get DESTROYED. Why am I so sure....Silva also holds a Black belt in BJJ under the Noguiera brothers, Silva has also fought Jeremy Horn in Gladitor FC. Horn took Silva down and was in no danger. Silva won that fight in a decision. It's not going to be a good fight for Lutter Saturday.
