@schoolgyrl6 That is hilarious!!! I remember I use to think that Steve Arrington's song I make ya weak at the knees said - I make ya speak Jappanese!!! LOL
The picture on the video has to be from before this song, right? I mean, you've got a young Jeffrey Osborne in the lower right. The picture reminds me of the cover of Cameo's "Cardiac Arrrest" album, but as phillydisco commented, a lot of 70's bands did the shirtless thang. However, the Ohio Players were the only ones gettin it right and letting the LADIES pose with topless instead!!...btw, this cut is definitely a cold jam for sure!
wow I remember this song, had one of my first makeouts after dancin to it. damn I must be gettin old, my friends still make fun of me because I'm white and love funk, they dont know what they are missin
Jeffrey Osborne (vocals, drums) and his brother Billy (keyboards) left L.T.D. in 1981. Leslie Wilson, lead singer of New Birth, joined the band for next 2 years and sung lead on this song. Today, he's back with New Birth and has been touring ever since.
If you check out the album covers of many black music bands, they did at least one topless cover during their careers. Just too bad they're all guys and not women! :)
( L.T.D. returned to the Top 40 once again with "Shine On." However, Osborne then exited to pursue a solo career,, the band's fortunes dimmed. In the wake of 1981's Love Magic, L.T.D. disbanded.
