Waylon was a fan of Stevie Nicks..In fact he went to Stevie and asked her to write a song for him about his relationship to Jessie..When Stevie finished the song Waylon and Jessie had broke up, so Stevie kept the song for herself. that song is called Leather and Lace
@sara31tx That's interesting...yes...Stevie Nicks wrote the song at Waylon's request...but just so you know~~~Waylon and Jessi were married for 33 years at the time of his death~~~had a beautiful marriage; never broke up~~~Blessings~~~
@RevLFD In 1981, Colter and her husband returned to release a duet album entitled, Leather and Lace. Stevie Nicks wrote the title track of the album, however after receiving word that Colter and Jennings might divorce, released her own version of the song as a duet with Don Henley.
In response to lilshayla: Rhiannon was originally performed by Fleetwood Mac. It was written by Stevie Nicks and first included on the album titled Fleetwood Mac, released in 1975.
@lilshayla It's classed as originally being a Fleetwood Mac song because they gave it the first recording and release, though Stevie Nicks actually wrote it in 1974 when she and Lindsey Buckingham were still performing as the duo Buckingham Nicks. It was too late for their album, but they did perform it live several times, but in a rather faster 'polka' style!

This sounds like it was pulled directly off an LP. I can hear telltale pops and ticks occasionally.

Thanks for this - one of Waylon's hardest to find songs from the 80s.
