  • what do you mean by oldest? they look very new to me.

  • Do you mean old as in sarcasm? cuz those actually dont look that......

  • old? they look brand new

  • really pretty!

  • are you holding on to anything?

  • are those gold poiny shoes they look very pretty

  • how are these old? haha you can send me all your old shoes if they look like this and i'll wear them or sell them jk :)

  • The way you have your pointe shoes on is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

1.Because you have no ribbons on,which could result in you breaking your ankles, which could in turn damage your ability to dance.

    2. You should tuck in your drawstrings, you could trip and hurt yourself.

  • Haha these are SOOOO new. They are beautiful too and look good on you. What brand are they? They shine like Freeds.

  • lol they look good on u

  • Y DONT U HAV RIBBONS???? OMG UR GONNA BREAK UR ANKLES!!! any ways, they look pretty how r they old?

  • 1, They dont look that old,

    2. Tuck in your string,

    3. WHERE are your ribbons thats so dangerous!!!

  • they looked very new and where are you ribbons? it's very dangerous whitout ribbons!

  • Tuck in your drawstrings!

  • I absolutely envy your feet. The shows are BEAUTIFUL. What is the manufacturer? Brand? I wear freed Studios...and studio II's. I haave rather high arches like you, but mine aren't as defined. You have reason to feel quite blessed.

  • these dont look very old at all

  • if there your oldest then why dont they have ribbons? they dont even look like there dead

  • its sooooooooo dangerous 2 go on point with no ribbons!

i started it when i was 1o in grade 4 rad. ( royal acaey of dance)

    no jokes. i swere

  • The video quality isn't amazing, but they look to be in pretty good shape. Why no ribbons?

  • You should tie your points, you can have serious problems with that!

  • i do partially agree with mazmo1011. Fifth grade (10 or 11 years old) is generally when your muscles are mature enough for pointe. going straight on to pointe can be really hard on your ankles and feet and its really easy to hurt yourself. however if your teacher sees you are strong enough not just with your muscles but in your technique then its fine to start. it just depends on how your body works.

  • I've started pointe without training and with no ballet expirience at all. I first thought it was a little fast but since a was doing irish stepp and folk dancing already, my ballet teacher thought my feet were strong enough for me to beggin right a way and catch up with the rest of the class that was way more advanced than I was. Believe it or not, it has worked for me!

  • hey good job, but if thre your oldest pair, howcome you never tied ribbons on!!??

  • your not all the way over your box!! if u continue like that you'll hurt your ankels

  • i realllyyy dont agree with mazmo1011 you can start pointe at ANY age unless your under the age of around 9-10 there is no right or wrong on what time to start.x

  • There's no right or wrong age to start, but their is when it comes to if your feet can really take it, when your 9-10 and even 14 (which is when I started) your bones aren't entirely set. Personally, I think its safer to start 12+. but that's just my opinion.

  • I'm going on pointe in September. (I'm really excited), but I just want to know if it hurts really bad?

  • Comment removed

  • Heyss my name is Jessica and i am 12 and i jsut started point as well LOL. you are good. they look liek mine when i 1st bought them. i got mine from bloch. energetis are crap, bloch is the best

  • the day u try on ur pointe shoes at the store should u be able to get over the boxes already without support cause i cant...i can get up but i cant get over my boxes

  • i have capezio glisse pro pointe shoe and they really hurt so ima getting gaynor mindens!!!

  • i never did "pre pointe" i just went straight on to pointe when she felt i was ready

  • really ?? you never did releves at barre and without it (things like echeppes and sou sous and one footed releves

  • I think what heverhard1 means is that they never used the pre pointe shoes.

  • I'm about to take my grade 5 exam, hopefully i'll pass *crosses fingers* i believe we'll be starting to train for pointe next, how long is the average pre pointe training? please reply! thanks

  • depends on the person

  • I don't know about your specific school, but I know that I spent about 9 months doing pre pointe before advancing onto pointe... I believe that is the average, but most dance schools don't say "in 9 months, you'll get your pointe shoes". Once your teacher sees that you will be able to fully get over the box of your pointe shoe, she will advance you onto pointe. Good luck!

  • thanks =)

  • hi could anybody tell me what the average age for being in grade five is?

    thanks!

  • If you start in the fifth grade... Well lets just sat thats REALLY early... You want to go through three years of pre-pointe which is preparing for pointe. The right time to start is like... 7th or 8th grade... But it's not really what grade your in... it's if your feet are developed or not.

  • wow went to a new ballet school and they started me in level 1 but they thought i would be good in level 4. we had a pre pointe class 2 times a week and the second week my teacher thought that i should go on pointe. so now i have pointe shoes

  • I started two months ago and i'm in the 7th grade, I LOVE pointe! Although i puled my acheles! (ouch!)

  • OUCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • good brand

  • when you had to try them on did you have to wear those little tan stockings thats what i had to do

  • yeah i had to try those on and toe pads

  • i have a few questions because i'm about to go on pointe and i need to know about pointe shoes. I have heard that they are comterable is that true? Is it better just to buy a different pointe shoes? If so what kind? Lastly do you recommend them? If not why? Asked to anyone who sees this. ANSWER BACK ON MY PAGE BECAUSE I WILL FORGET THIS EXACT VIDEO! I will be asking other people just to get a group result.

  • yeah my shoes are from capezio too, and i had a rough time breaking them in myself, but now they are getting there

  • Why is the video so pixalated?

  • Anaheim Ballet on You Tube have a video on tying pointe shoes.

  • Shouldn't your teacher teach you how to tie them?

  • my teacher tought me how to

  • hahaha yeah i had to use

a webcam and it sucks XD

  • I really like your feet. Beware of sickling to get on your box though. Keep working and good luck!

  • you're not pushing over your box enough

  • uhmm actually both ribbons and elastics do .. great job to both of you =]

  • wow joolayz, u know a lot about dance...not. its actually the elastics that hold the pointe shoe together, not the ribbons...great job!

  • Be careful when dancing on pointe without ribbons.

Ribbons is what holds your capability to balance, so you won't fall out of your shoes.

    Good job, though.

  • lol dont you read that was when i first got them and they had no elastics or ribbons on them but now they do

    lol thankss

  • I did read, but I still don't think it was wise to put them on before putting ribbons on.
