Ahmad Deedat(may allah have mercy on his soul) in reading Rashad Khalifa's work found it to be remarkable and did promote it, then this Rashad person claimed to be a prophet of god, when the quran is quite clear that Muhammad is the final of messengers, which makes Rashad a kafir (i dont know if he reverted) but this is why Deedat rejected this work and infact he stopped distribution of this booklet as well. Look at this example. You can have a lake full of water, and glass. You fill your glass with water. The whole lakefull of water is not going to fit. But that which did fit, is still water. So neither changed. The water is still water, and the glass is still glass. And when you empty you glass back into the lake, you will not be even able to tell which part used to be in your cup.

@RenegadeMaster07 Or because the quotes you just quoted don't actually support your hypothesis. "I AM" is the name of God, so saying that "before Abraham, I AM", simply means that before Abraham there was Allah...
however in the context Jesus is asked how he is not 50 years old but has seen Abraham, so saying "Before Abraham was, there was God" doesn't answer their question. It is then followed by verse 59 where the jewish leaders pick up stones with which to stone Jesus. It doesn't make sense this way as they too would also have believed God was before Abraham.

I hebrew "I AM" means YHWH or JHWH, which is either Yahweh or Jehovah depending on how you translate it. This is accepted as the name of God. In any occasion in the King James Bible where it says LORD with capitals, that is the word Jehovah. The actual meaning of the word is I AM.

The only way this makes sense to me is that he was saying that even in the past, even before Abraham came into being, he IS present. Which means that Jesus is claiming to be outside of the normal time scale of ordinary man.

There is a clear distinction between all these names. But in JN8:58, the "I AM" looks like אני הוא, which is a literal "I am". not-

Yes, the OT is original Hebrew, and yes John was written in Greek not Hebrew, but even still there is a distinction between the usage of the same English phrase when it is put into Hebrew. as you say though, John was written in Greek, and Jesus if i remember spoke Aramaic. So there is still the words "I am", and in Exodus that is what YHWH actually means.
And as i also said, what could "I am" mean when Jesus is talking about a past event. To me he is claiming an eternal presence, and that he is outside of time. Looks like a divine nature to me.

After sometimes, due to some alleged claims made by Dr. Rashid Khalifa about receiving revelations from angel Gibraeel ( i dont know about its truth), nearly all muslim scholars turned against Rashid Khalifa. This and other circumstances forced Ahmed deedat to recall this book and he stopped its propagation.
You should consider the following. Rashad Khalifah was a humble man who NEVER asked for money for his claims or any worldly gaina dn MOST IMPORTANTLY he HAD EVIDENCE for him being a messenger of GOD, NOT a prophet. 2ndly Ahmed Deedta was a man promoting violence in that he wanted Salman Rushdie dead even though Rushdie didnt attack any "muslim" physically or threatened them. Paul claimed to be an apostle and chucked our the Jewish LAW and made Christianity a religion for all humanity when it was in fact only for the "children of the house of Israel". Jesus never claimed to be God or the "begotten" son of God. Those who came after him distorted his message.

2- Even if we assumed the bible wasn't corrupted the verses you are quoting are open to interpretation and your interpretation is conjecture at best... as for the Jews stoning him for claiming to be God. The jews were his enemies and they tried to find fault in what he said in order to punish him - they claimed that he claimed to be God. In what logic does that mean "as a fact" that he claimed it.

The translation errors are easy to spot, and are known. But there are no errors in the original manuscripts given to us by YHWH! They are 100% correct in their original languages. Hebrew and Greek.
BTW, there isn't a single quran translation without errors either.
Quran has translations where mortal men made mistakes, but the Arabic version is the same wherever you go and will always be the same. And it's in the hands of the people. Besides as for the bible, Jesus spoke Aramaic how did the Greek version become the Original??? You reject 7 books from the books of the Catholics= bible, that's not a translation problem. you don't know for a fact which book are the true word of God, The church decided what to canonize and what to reject.
The mistakes in the Quran translations BTW are mistakes in not choosing the best choice of words because there will always be something lost in translation, but a true deceit is when "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." turns out to be "There are three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree."... now that's deliberate corruption

I AM is not the name of God, when Jesus asked him who should I say sent me, YHWH said to him "I AM WHO I AM", how slow do you need to be to think that meant "I AM" is his name. and even if it was, for Jesus to say "Before Abraham was I AM" is anything BUT an explicit statement, it's extremely vague at best. I wish I could have read the documents shown in this video. As it is, I haven't got a clue to what ahmed deedat changed his mind to. Or what made him change it.

Ahmad Deedat(may allah have mercy on his soul) in reading Rashad Khalifa's work found it to be remarkable and did promote it, then this Rashad person claimed to be a prophet of god, when the quran is quite clear that Muhammad is the final of messengers, which makes Rashad a kafir (i dont know if he reverted) but this is why Deedat rejected this work and infact he stopped distribution of this booklet as well. No man is a perfect judge of another, however over time the truth is made evident

You cannot be a messenger without being a prophet but you can be a prophet without being a messenger. For instance Lot was a prophet not a messenger, yet Musa was a prophet and messenger.
so being the seal of the Prophets it is clear that there are no more messengers to come.

@Ammyai there was no need to think about the arguement because it is rather straighforward, you can read the text of your OT and see that the religion that is closest to what is required in islam. 3 daily worship in book of Daniel, 5 daily worship in islam, NONE in chrsitianity that is a starting point. Fasting in OT, Fasting even in NT, fasting in islam no fasting for christians. the list goes on and on, so yes i thought about what i said.

Look at this example. You can have a lake full of water, and glass. You fill your glass with water. The whole lakefull of water is not going to fit. But that which did fit, is still water. So neither changed. The water is still water, and the glass is still glass. And when you empty you glass back into the lake, you will not be even able to tell which part used to be in your cup.

He said "if you have seen me you have seen the father", "my father and I are one", but my favourite is "Before Abraham was, I AM".
In exodus 3, God said to Moses "tell the israelites that I AM has sent you", the jews then try to stone him for his blasphemy

however in the context Jesus is asked how he is not 50 years old but has seen Abraham, so saying "Before Abraham was, there was God" doesn't answer their question. It is then followed by verse 59 where the jewish leaders pick up stones with which to stone Jesus. It doesn't make sense this way as they too would also have believed God was before Abraham.

In Lk 1:19, Gabriel says "I am Gabriel",surely that does not mean Gabriel is God?Of course not. The only difference is the capitals, and the capitals are not found in Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic. Jesus did say "I am" as it it meant something specific, but still isnt connected to God's words in Ex3:14.

I hebrew "I AM" means YHWH or JHWH, which is either Yahweh or Jehovah depending on how you translate it. This is accepted as the name of God. In any occasion in the King James Bible where it says LORD with capitals, that is the word Jehovah. The actual meaning of the word is I AM.

The only way this makes sense to me is that he was saying that even in the past, even before Abraham came into being, he IS present. Which means that Jesus is claiming to be outside of the normal time scale of ordinary man.
It's irrelevant, if he was tellin the truth or not, he was claiming some sort of divinity. So if he wasn't saying he is YHWH he was claiming to be another god. A second divinity.

However, looking at the original Hebrew in EX3:14, The "I AM" looks like this אֶֽהְיֶ֖ה , and sounds like "eh-yeh", where as anytime LORD is used, you will see יְהוָ֞ה which sounds like "YaHWeH", and anytime "God" is used, it looks like אֱלֹהֵ֣י and sounds like "elohei", meaning literally 'the-god'. There is a clear distinction between all these names. But in JN8:58, the "I AM" looks like אני הוא, which is a literal "I am". not-

And as i also said, what could "I am" mean when Jesus is talking about a past event. To me he is claiming an eternal presence, and that he is outside of time. Looks like a divine nature to me.

Actually Ahmed Deedat published this book "Al-Quraan, The Ultimate Miracle" in which he had referenced the work of Dr. Rashid Khalifa. After sometimes, due to some alleged claims made by Dr. Rashid Khalifa about receiving revelations from angel Gibraeel ( i dont know about its truth), nearly all muslim scholars turned against Rashid Khalifa. This and other circumstances forced Ahmed deedat to recall this book and he stopped its propagation.

Those are some of God's names indeed, but the translations you gave are not accurate my friend. For instance "Al-Mumit" simply means he's the one who takes lives (in the same manner that he gives life)- Al-Muqtadir means "the capable" ,etc... The other names you gave without the Arabic versions I've never heard before, because they are mis-translations by people like you who choose the darkest choice of words to a name that in Arabic means something Majestic.

2- Even if we assumed the bible wasn't corrupted the verses you are quoting are open to interpretation and your interpretation is conjecture at best... as for the Jews stoning him for claiming to be God. The jews were his enemies and they tried to find fault in what he said in order to punish him - they claimed that he claimed to be God. In what logic does that mean "as a fact" that he claimed it.

The translation errors are easy to spot, and are known. But there are no errors in the original manuscripts given to us by YHWH! They are 100% correct in their original languages. Hebrew and Greek.
BTW, there isn't a single quran translation without errors either.

You don't understand what a Christian is.
There are no more "Christian" countries, because people do not become Christians by birth. A baby born to even if both parents are Christian is still not a Christian. And may choose to become whatever they wish.
There is none of that forcing stuff like in islam where people born to muslim parent are forced to become muslim themselves.
So you should understand, our societies are not Christian, Christians live amongst non-Christians.

@Ammyai i am a muslim by choise. and no one ever forced me, any muslim has a choice to be or not to be. God says in the Qur'an : {[There is no compulsion in religion...]}[2:256]. no one is force to believe or not. we don't have to get baptized to get accepted. and the connection with God is direct with out any middleman.
second, i'm lebanese. and in lebanon half of us r christians, & we have jews & druze. that goes for most arab countries & muslims countries 2.
& there r atheists & communist..

However, if you now try to leave islam, you will find that the verse you have quoted means nothing. They will kill you. You are NOT free to leave islam, not in islamic countries.
You have no connection with God whatsoever, because your god is allah, who is a liar, and in fact none other than satan in disguise.

third ... ethics and morals on earth dealing with others and other religions are clear in the Qur'an and one of the best conducts on earth. (check jews and christian history).
while the afterlife it's up to God to decide. in our Quran it says that, like u say no one enters heavens if he doesn't believe in jesus as god, or whatever.

@Ammyai Allah is God in arabic language as it is in hebrew Elluhim (the -im for plural respect) just like it's Dieu in french or Dios in spanish. christian arabs call God Allah.
and who r u to tell me if i have a connection with my God or not.
my God is one God .. urs and mine and the God of all heavens and earth and human kind. many names, one concept.
stop being be blinded and please go study what islam is and then judge urself.

So don't look at so called "Christian" countries and point out what is happening in them.
Those filthy things happening aren't being done by Real Christians.
Real Christians are good and godly people. You should meet one one day.
And don't compare Real Christians with catholics either. There maybe a few Real Christians amongst them, but not a great percentage.

I wish I could have read the documents shown in this video. As it is, I haven't got a clue to what ahmed deedat changed his mind to. Or what made him change it.
Maybe another video with someone reading it out is possible?
I couldn't read it because it was just too small and blurry.

As i posted before, Ahmed deedat omitted out all references he made in his book "Al-Quran, The Ultimate Miracle" after allged claims by Dr. Rashad Kahifa that he was something like a messenger, and that he received revealatin from Gabriel. Thats all, the guys who made this vid are funny, not openly saying things, dunno why, but, see, all religious ppl become crazy when they are denied or not accepted, this is shit.
