well actually short stop has the most responsibility the catcher has the best view and centerfielder has the biggest responsibility in the outfield lemme tell you who says how many outs there are and says where the play is thats the shortstop but the catcher does tell you to watch the steal

us catchers know when someone is stealing we can see everything and once again the catchers have most responsibility, we have to take care of the pitchers, and position the infield because WE call the pitches so if we want a double play we are letting everyone know its going to be a ground ball because we call it low and outside

no the shortstop calls every play except for the pitches and the pitcher can shake you off trust me i am a catcher pitcher and outfielder and also 3rd base

hmm well i guess you play for a sucky team because in good teams GOOD people are put on the team to play their best position not little league where one inning your left field the next you catcher, and ive never heard of a shortstop call a play besides saying " turn two" ask any coach what the most important position is on a team
