Legotown Taxis - A Tyler Lego Town Tour - March 2008 Custom Taxi

I made my own Taxi's! They don't look like this, they look a bit like the NYC Cabbies. I paid nearly £10 for three little kinda Boot Lid things but they were worth it! This Taxi can Fit 2 Minifigures (Driver and a Passenger), 2 Suitcases and like yours, have their own Custom Numbers! My favourite is 003 becaus unlike the other two, it is Black with Yellow Stripes. When I get my Video Camera to work I will post a Vid online!

How do you make these, instructions, a tutorial or what?

@totallypayton Not everything is custom, but most of the sets have been changed in some way.

How did u get the stickers? If it is custom, how do u stick them? Tape? Pls reply!

@Matin99SG Most office supply stores will have sheets of clear adhesive paper. We just printed our designs on that (inkjet printer) and the covered the prints with clear packing tape (to keep the ink from smearing during play). Cut the finished stickers out and there you go!

It took several orders, from several suppliers, to find enough yellow wheels. In fact, we ordered the wrong hubs at one point and still have those sitting around waiting for another project.

Basically, the taxis are based on plans from the 1985 Idea Book (#200).

We just changed the red to dark gray, made our own stickers, and gave them snazzy wheels and some other details.

Taxi pieces and checkers were stickers that I made using normal computer/office supplies. The nice thing about this taxi design is that it uses only standard pieces -- nothing too fancy.
