As someone who hated Snape throughout the series, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him when all was revealed! I mean, here you have someone who only had one person in his life that truly mattered to him, lost her during their teen years, truly lost her when she and her husband were killed by Voldemort and from then on, attempted to protect Harry for her and be loyal to Dumbledore, while simoltaneously trying to stay in the good graces of Slytherins. Talk about complex!
