@jfsfrnd, I know only what he has told me. And I can see how Dyslexia can impair people from many varieties of work but not all work involves reading or writing. And by the persons own admission they are not only able to work, but they work 5-6 days a week and all without doing so through one of the disabilities back to work programs and without reporting it and his extra income to ODSP.Doing this constitutes fraud and burdens the case load, leaving others more in need to go without.

@mrgionni I know several people on disability and some of them don't tell the total truth about why they are on it. Maybe his dyslexia interferes with work. You do know that people have to go to hire a lawyer, get medical evidence and go to court to get disability - right?

@jfsfrnd, really? They do? I myself am on disability for total renal failure, without my treatments I could die within a month or two. Yet I never had to hire a lawyer to get disability. You do know that I live in Canada and that our laws are not necessarily the same as your laws are, right?

@mrgionni I guess it depends on if you have the money to live on. I suppose you do. No I am not familiar with Canadian law and disability, but I wouldn't think that you don't have to be near death to receive it.

@jfsfrnd, no you don't have to be, never said they had to be. I think you are relating my own experiance with what is necessary to qualify people. The point was not that he should'nt qualify, but that he by his own admission was more than capable of working, does work and that he is frauding disability. I know many people on disability, yet I only mention the one. Why do you think I didn't mention others?

@jfsfrnd, no and as stated before, I have no interest in ratting people out. And know he does not own his own home. I think that would disqualify him for disability in Ontario Canada as we are only allowed up to $5,000. in assets to be eligible for disability benefits.

Thanks for this video of how bad SS fraud really is in the US. I have been fighting my case for 13 years and have anxiety and depression and horrible bone on bone arthritis and cannot walk at all and still cannot get SS. Oregon is one of the worst states of all the states for abuse in the SS system. The lady from Cornelius that I met in November on a Tri-Met bus and you had no cane or anything and hopped off the bus easily you will get caught for fraud and abuse for sure!!!

Quit picking on disabled peoples alienating and de-humanizing folks isn't the solution. The root cause of the problem is the lack of economical creativity that needs to be addressed, not disabilities.

@aadoon, no it isn't, and that's not what I was doing. I myself have total renal failure, I have to go to the hospital 3 times a week for 4 hours a day to have my blood cleaned in order to stay somewhat healthy and alive, I also have to do PD at home 8 hours a day every day. I'm not picking on no one who is uncapable of working. Did you know some people get disability, just because they never learned to read. Does that mean they can't lift a box? Where as others in need are refused.

I know someone who is getting a SS check and she can do many many things and drive a car, fish, play pool and ride a bike. I worked with her in an office 3 1/2 years ago and now she drives a 25000 car and supports her and her husband on this money and she is about 53 years old. I have been denied 5 times and cannot do any of the above things at all and cannot walk yet Pam can get SS and as far as I am concerned she CAN WORK. The system is messed up and a total fraud due to all the SS abuse.

i did, it took 13 months to get a court date and i was still denied,

they say its bc i live alone and look after myself.

i see lots of people with depression get accepted and i think they heave the means to look after them selfve

In KINGS county I know a 40 yr. old physically healthy woman and her 2 adult physically healthy sons.All are on disability SSI. They will not buy food hardly,but sure will purchase exspensive things.computer,gym equipment,paintings,etc.etc.

There are a lot out there like that taking away from those who really need it. Wondering where they get their food? Here there are food banks, and I've seen families with nice cars and dress pull into them. I think the rule is they help one family only, but a lot go in and claim they are of separate families just to get more. Then they all drive off in their brand new automobile.

Same crap happens here in the USA.Especially with SSA,Welfare herein Delano,California.Senior citizen's,truly disabled,children are being robbed out of their benefits as they prefer abled body lazy adults,Here in Kern county senior citizens,truly disabled,children r being robbed. out of their benefits.I am one of their victims.they took over half my benefits to give it to who knows who .too obious.
