I'm a complete neophyte here, but I must still say that those things are truly works of great genius and dedication.

I think they would REALLY shine (no pun intended) with some lighting effects. Some heightened shadows, some colored lighting maybe, it wouldn't take much to make this stuff really come alive.

Of course plain-lit photos are important for showing the details of the craftsmanship, but I would die to see one of those ruined cathedrals in a pool of moonlight or something.
