Making an ad using an effect already seen in a Japanese mall (seriously, go search youtube for 'Japanese mall fountain' or something similar) does not impress upon me the strenuous testing you subject your vehicles to.
I find this to be derivative and, if anything, it really only compels me to want to own the fountain, not the car. How is this illustrative of anything?
you can't "prove" anything visually. It's a visually appealing commercial desgined to get the product into the head of the consumer. if they want to know more about the "strenuous testing" they can go do the research themselves.
And just because this fountain was already used in some random japanese mall doesn't mean they can't do the same thing for an australian commercial
it's a good ad, you're obviously just being a picky little smartass
Take the car out of it, it'd be a good ad. For the fountain.
Besides, when did I say anything about 'proving' something visually?
It's my opinion (obviously) that this is unoriginal, and kind of a weak message when it comes to it. Not being a smartass, I'm just expressing my thoughts on the ad.
Also, I have absolutely nothing against Hyundai or vehicles produced by that company. It's not about the product, it's about the ad.
I don't understand how it's a weak message though. It clearly (and beautifully) expresses the testing, which is the whole point of the ad.
And as for it being unoriginal... so what? barely anybody in australia has actually seen this fountain, it's new to them. If it expresses the meaning what does it matter if it's been done before?
oh and the whole proving thing was in reference to how you said it doesn't "impress" upon you the testing of the car. when metaphorically, it clearly does.
great car too
