For earth day, I turned all the lights and appliances on. I put the AC and the furnace both on to fight it out. I left my car running in the driveway all day and threw recyclables in the regular garbage. I ate beans and farted myself unconscious with methane.
Fuck the eco-idiots and the man-made global warming bullshit.
mapiababy, ur an idiot, earth hour is all non essential lights and appliances go off, obviously traffic lights and emergency exit lights will be on, thats for safety reasons.
90% of Australia will not be turning off the lights!
And if you greenies/eco freaks think your winning....well just like to put to your attention, in Queensland Australia last week, the greens got kicked out of government.
It will give me great pleasure to turn on all my lights around my house tonight AET AT 8.30PM TO 9.30PM, because I live in a free country, l pay for a service I deserve.
WTF, oh so the bushfire, cyclone, earthquake and other natural disasters were just a coincidence all happening in the space of a month, i hate anti people, theres so much evidence, and even if you don't believe in it, what if it does, watch one of my favorited vids titled the most disturbing video on youtube.

lol nothing can do to earth if turn off lights only god can do if you turn off light more bad people go rob a bank , accident car no traffic light , 1000,000 die went to go to toilet all fall down and many more. i hope don't turn off your light nothing we can do to the earth just pray to god it much better.
Switching off the lights for an hour may not end the global warming immediately or effectively. But it's a good move. I'll definitely support. I have even asked my sister who has got a zwinky account to paste the embedding code in as many zwinky profile that she knows. Tha't our support to our fellow human beings who has got some good intentions. But what this world need that all of us switch off negative and waste thoughts. Collective meditation or contemplation would yield a better outcome!
WOW zwinky! that will stop the climate hobb-goblins.I'm gonna smear crisco on my car tires to reduce tire friction and go back to magazine based pornography.
Another British globalist expounds the soft end of the campaign to impose global environmental dictatorship. Oh yes your Lordship, the peasants must cut back on their measly energy allocation and live like serfs in the Dark Ages when your lordly ancestors reigned supreme.
Turning your lights of is not affecting the so called "global warming" in any way. Someone might say: "-Well it keeps the CO2 down so it reduces the global warming"....Since when did CO2 have anything to do with global warming? It never has! It's Al Gores fault that people are beliveing in this nonsence. This whole act is just a wolf dressed up like a cheep.
People realize that this isn't gonna save the planet. If all we had to do was turn off our lights for an hour don't you think we would have done it already. The only reason to do it is to realize that there is a problem, and not be so naive to think that we can't make a difference. We made it this way, and we have to at least try and fix it.
Obviously 1 hour isn't enough. Earth Hour is dedicated for people to VOTE either 'Earth' (by switching off lights) or 'Global Warming' (by leaving their lights on). Our vote will have an effect on the Kyoto Protocol, which has the power to influence government policies regarding greenhouse gases. The aim is to put pressure on our government.
better yet, its funny to realize that COWS produce more greenhouse gasses than humanity ever has. i love seeing paranoid sheeples being suckered into this BS. it snowed more this year in my town than any year i can remember. society really needs to stop looking for things to fear.
It is not about how much energy is being saved. It's about spending one little hour of our year together, symbolically across the planet. It's about reframing the limitations- like darkness- as opportunities. All over the planet, for one hour, we have the opportunity to NOTICE THE MINUTES PASSING.You're right about cows - feeding them corn - a monoculture full of pesticides & fertilizers...it's not the light switch. It's the power of the collective. Living actively, Bush is gone! No fear- hope
wtf has bush got to do with it. and no, cows throughout time, as in prior to whatever BS you just said. yes lets just notice the minutes passing.... are you by chance on some sort of medication at the moment? its all about hippies trying to feel better about themselves by doing their part for global warming (a myth)
looking only forward now. bush admin policies set us back several decades, instilled fear and did little to promote cross-cultural communication - something necessary to bring about the kind of change that's called for. You and I are done here- sorry you have only your anger and right this moment. Goals can make a person feel alive. Ah, must be the medication talking.
Perhaps after this Earth Hour, they might start doing it every month, or maybe every week, which will probably make a huge impact on global warming and stuff like that.
\this is only the beginning, better if figure out how to produce electricity without using non-environmental friendly substance...I will be switch off all the light and shut my eyes(enjoy peaceful surrounding without electric) for one hour...Homosapiens,lets support the earth hour...
climate lies.

I plan on turning on every light and appliance in my home, in honour of the star of "An Inconvenient Truth", AlGore.
Lest you think I am being flippant, I am not.
I am protesting the phony "Concern" of people making this asinine token gesture whilst being rampant energy wasters the rest of the time.
For the elites who take limos to Global Warming conferences and have them idle outside running A/C the whole time.
As much as I *do* conserve the rest of the time, it won't hurt the Earth a bit.

Earth is not going to "perish" by global warming.
Of course, if you actually learned some basic science instead of watching AlGore's bullsh*t, you would know this.
tuttt99 2 years ago
Youre right, the Earth is not going to perish by global warming. Unfortunately, the humankind is, unless we do something now.
