Is there no end to the interesting character actors they got for this show? The other Star Treks had their high points, but I can't remember finding any of them as fascinating as DS9. Even the regulars had more personality (mostly). Goodness knows I like Jake Sisko much better than Wesley Crusher (not Wil, mind you. I put it all on Wesley, who didn't get interesting until he stopped behaving himself).
I love this scene so much. Jeffery Combs plays two of my favourite villains; Weyoun and the Scarecrow/ Dr. Jonathan Crane (VA). He's an amazing actor. And Weyoun is so deliciously evil.

And as Weyoun said, he is immune to MOST forms of poison, so there was even a small chance that it could ahve killed him too...
Weyoun was one of the best bad guys ever.I loved how he could just smile to your face and act like he and the Dominion were nice people but as soon as the chance was there he'd stab you in the back and kill your entire family! With that fake smile and being able to lie so good he would have made a GREAT used car salesman LOL
Kanar has changed a bit in the series. If I recall, it started off as a blue thin liquid, a bit like Romulan Ale. And then later on, when Damar gets addicted to the stuff, it looks like golden gloopy liquid. At least it looked gloopy when he threw the stuff against a mirror.
@Foebane72 Kanar might just be a generic catchall. Like beer or mead. Romulan ale had the same issue where it changed colour a few times. Then we find out the light blue stuff is called kalifal.
You forgot to add Sisko's line immediately after this: "Especially when you're dealing with Cardassians." I love scenes like this where something comes completely out of left field and you don't see it coming at all. :) It's rare when shows surprise me like that, especially Star Trek, but it does happen. :)
i feel bad for all the people on that show that had to drink kanar. it was basically syrup thinned down with water, and it tasted disgusting, i'm sure.
This scene endeared me to Weyoun as he was initiated into the Star Trek "This tastes AWFUL" running gag. Reminds me of Data in 10 Foreward after he installs his emotion chip and keeps drinking something he finds dreadful just for the experience.

By the title I thought it was the termination implant in the extra 6th weyoun. I guess the implant contained a poison they weren't immune to. One of the funniest weyoun moments was when he tried to brag about their intellegence and bribe sisko to join him.
weyoun- "What do you say?"
sisko- "I'd say your phycological profile isn't as good as you thought."

He didn't play Weyoun. He played his own Vorta. Vortas have their own line. Weyouns always look like Weyouns. The one he played was from another line.

Weyoun was always one of my favorite DS9 characters. Jeffery Combs brought such a great mix of charm, intelligence, cunning and wit.
