It was in fact a sketchy area of Detroit...There are few places that aren't. I wish they would chose a better city.... Like Grand Rapids maybe? Little more inviting IMO...

There is more to the band than just the singer. Singing live is not easy with all the headbanging and running around. Tarja did great because it was alot of years on tour and recording. In 5 years youll be saying the same thing about Annette.

It's not an excuse because Annette before Nightwish already had a singing career.

Tarja did great because she is a better singer than Annette!!!! xD LOL.

At her age, Annette should be singing much better than Tarja. Besides, Tarja sung all Nightwishes songs in its original tone, she didn't changed it on live shows.

Tarja SINGS the highest notes, she doesn't SCREAM them.

i agree with jumartinez, it is a little dissapointing to hear this compared to the CD but i can imagine that it would be difficult to keep it up if she had performed alot of other songs before this one. and to RockstarGuitarr and jdm14789, she's had vocal training for years before she joined Alyson Avenue, which is the band she was in for 6 years before joining nightwish.

to my opinion anette sings the new nightwish songs that are written for her voice very well - but most of the older nightwish songs sound horrible, mostly dark chest of wonders...
