The megaman thing wouldn't be so bad, if capcom had passed him as being a bad (or great?) megaman cosplayer or even as the box art megaman having let himself go. But no, they decide to claim that this megaman, is in fact Megaman Volnutt, from the Megaman Legends series, the long-expected third game of which had been recently cancelled. Couple that with the fact that Capcom blamed the cancellation on the FANS, and this is really low blow, joke character or not.

I think it's great MEGA Man's poses when jumping and shooting mimics the ones made by his original namesake's sprite.

I know BBA MEGA Man was planned for Universe, and Capcom might as well wanted to use that idea, but I think the problem here was the timing. Fans were still very displeased about Legends 3 and Universe cancelled this set them on fire again.

But that's naught but my opinion.

It's like fake advertising, you see a western cover art and then when you play the game, you realize that you got tricked and everything is different. It was not rare in the 80 and early 90's. By the way, that's not Rockman, after all Capcom seeming wish to adopt the original name and made Megaman a different character.

The original case had a really weirdly manly design of him on the front cover, it was really creepy and they changed it for the next game, but this character is modeled of the original front cover, so i'ts kind of a joke, and it also makes him fit into this game better. I'm convinced that whoever did the U.S. box art for the first Mega Man game had no idea what the character was like. To be honest, when I saw Bad Box Art Mega Man for Mega Man Universe, I thought that was funny. But this? NO! You do not do this sort of thing to one of gaming's greatest icons! Hopefully Nintendo will acquire all rights to the Mega Man franchise when they work on Smash 4.

The Zelda cartoon, A PART OF ZELDA HISTORY MOST PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO FORGET, was put out by DiC and Viacom, not Nintendo. Nintendo would never intentionally do that to one of its own beloved franchises. Capcom, however, has a track record of disappointing Mega Man fans in recent years.
