He used a Cherish Ball, you can't buy it anywhere, it's like a masterball except you can't catch it in one try. The only reason why he caught it in one try was because he had the code "100% Catch Rate" on.........or either he's really lucky. :P

NOTE TO ALL DEH PEOPLEZ WHO ACCIDENTLY KILLED THEIR LEGENDARY (palkia or dialga) AND ARE SAD ABOUT IT: If you accidently killed Palkia or Dialga, later in the game after you beat the Elite Four, you can go back to the Stone Pillar and you'll again see Palkia or Diagla. You can once again fight it. NOTE 2: You don't have to waste your master ball on Palkia or Dialga. Get their HP down to about six, and use an Ultra Ball. (I used my Master Ball on mesprit! ;D)
