It's your hardware that can't process the 60 fps 1080 p video. It a combo between the hardware and software. the only player that i saw could process the video correctly is Windows Media player on an i5 cpu. So is not the video that is chappy is quick time and ur computer. I think i already talked about this in my review about this camera, which i own. gameaddict.eu
Thanks for the reviews! Looks like a good camera. I hope so as I ordered one as well.
One thing about 60fps. In reality there is no such thing as 60P as in frames-per-second anyhow. But it can be 60 FIELDS per second. That translates to 30fps interlace. Interlace always looks bad on the computer as it only shows a progressive image. So the two different fiels get merged o a mushy blur. If you view on a regular TV it won't look as bad. 60fps just sounds better to some. I like 30P better.
Just wondering about this camera, cuz I'm looking at getting it.
So at 30FPS, time between each frame is 0.0333s, I would hope at 60FPS it's half that, 0.1666s?
I'm wondering if I were to record my golf swing with it, could I capture twice as many positions throughout my swing? I'm hoping it just pulls a 50% image every 0.1666s, instead of a more clear and complete 100% image every 0.0333s.
I agree, this definitely could be a hardware limitation of my computer. That said, I just thought I would share it and at the very least, let people interested in the camcorder know what to expect.
Hi, I don't know if it's a limitation of your hadrware, but that kind of movies in 60 frames/s and in HD are really heavy, even with nowadays computers.
When my computer was not enough powerfull to play them, the problems was different. It was playing for a few seconds, then stop, then playing again a little, then stop, etc..
Thanks for sharing! It's difficult to make a buying decision when the item's spec do not accurately disclose limitations.

ya the problem is your hardware limitation. not all system will be able to handle 60 fps. Another reason could be the write speed of the memory card

What class is your memory card? If it's under class 4 that could be your limiting factor. Maybe a class 6 car would work better?

Is this how it would work?
Cheers.
