I don't care for their style. Void of grace, beauty and artistry. I prefer Usova and Platov but my all time favorite ice dancing pair is Klimova and Ponamarenko. Those couples are beautiful to watch.

@coolangelalex I agree with both you and Takver. When I think of Oksana Grishuv, ^flailing^is the word that comes to mind. She is totally lacking in the grace and classical movement of Mya Usova--and so is Zhulin when he skates with her instead of his former wife. He lost everything when he lost his head to her, and it didn`t even last.

Zhulin looks happier with great Oksana. His skating is much better. Have a look on this speed! With witch-usova he had never this quallity. We can see that in this performance.

Perhaps he skates faster but here Oksana takes 95% of the attention ! When he was dancing with Maya, you looked equally Maya and Alexander and they were breathtaking for that. And Maya is certainly not a witch but the personification of beauty and elegance !!! Oksana has a fire temperament. Very different energies.

Oksana is brilliant here but i prefered when Alexander was dancing with Maya Usova cause they created a unique style with deep emotions. But I understand they wanted to create something new with other partners.

At one point she was worried that people would confused her with another Russian figure skater Oksana Baju, also an Olympic champion, so Oksana changed her first name. But this lasted only for a few years, I believe, and then she switched back to her old name...

Well, both are from Russia, both- Olympic champions, about the same age and at that time were trying to make it in the US...Probably, after some instances of people confusing her, Oksana thought it was a problem. I just guessing here...She seems to be a very impulsive and touchy person,as most very talented people are...

But whatever silly things she did, nothing will change that she is an amazing skater , a rare talent and a pleasure to watch.

Oksana Bayul is from Ukraine actually :) originally, Oksana Grishuk is from Ukraine as well, but that was former USSR back in those days :)
