Especially when there were black, white, asian, samoan & more ethnicities involved with the Black Panthers?
Don't let the word BLACK fool you as it was a people's movement that happened to start as a reaction to mostly white American systematic institutionalized oppression against African Americans.
A well-intentioned message that most people would agree with.... however mindless unity is just as racist. What if an Asian man, an Italian, or an Irish man wanted to join this "unity". Are they allowed?
Now,this is real music. I dont mind hearing some of this type of music nowadays. Sometimes you have to get away from the killing, gang banging in todays music.
@crowntownqc its not even about that anymore its about partying, weed and dancing. the gangsta shit ended in the late 90s early 00's like 2001 2002 haha where have you been. i hate this new generation tho music still wack i like it old school
Where have you been? The gangster music is still here bruh. Its a new generation of gangsters...well wannabees. Well, I know down south..you have a lot of rappers shooting gang affiliated music videos representing their gang colors. Their underground videos...such as Gucci mane,Young Jeezy, TI.etc.... I do agree with you though ....I miss the old school. More messages. I came up on Kool G,krs one,kid n play,
but they aint real there just a bunch of people trying to be hard the way i think of it is the older the music the more real it is. gucci mane, young geezy and ti is mainstreem rap i cant stand that music
its still around but since music is so directed towards the youth nowadays its not advertised or displayed in our media anymore. check out currency- life under the scope and azeem their new rappers not as good as old school rappers but amazing for this time period
maybe the first rap group out of ATL , southern version of public enemy
