you have posted a video of youself commiting a criminal act, driving with undue care and attention,i hope you get prosecuted.Did you manage to make the video without running a child down?
Three minutes to get to the point, and who cares about the answer? "Do not ask who I am and do not ask me to remain the same: leave it to our bureaucrats and our police to see that our papers are in order." It is simple. As Mark the artist, the taxi driver or the man and the father, he's speaking about real events in politics, particularly in the UK. Until educators understand there is no need for further ontological clarification you will continue to miss the point, and be irrelevant
@bikemessenger7 I share your misgivings here Earl, but even so I tend to self-define in terms of my job first and then other roles second. What about you?
Does what someone considers themselves to be make them so? I ask because I have known various artists who would not accept another as an artist of equal standing (or at all) unless they'd achieved the same level of art degree as they had, or earned a living from it (ruling most artists out). The work of anyone not so blessed or supposedly talented was only worthy of derision it seemed.

@Loreleila I don't think you can redefine yourself sociologically through an act of re-naming; it doesn't matter how much I proclaim myself to be an artist (or philanthropist, or public nuisance), if that definition isn't publicly agreed upon it is an empty claim, or at least a difficult one to maintain. I agree that we do tend to police one another self-definitions in ways that are often destructive. On the other hand it is important to check those people who claim to be brain surgeons.
@conferencereport lol Yes, it's handy to know a brain surgeon is what she claims but then so too for a taxi driver, or at least that there is certainty they have a driving licence. Maybe that's why artist is such a tough one to define. There is much less skill set to hang it on. It doesn't even mean 'one who paints', does not require one earns a living from it, has no functional purpose (except perhaps for sanity of self). Does the art have to be objectiveloy good to earn oneself the title? No.
get to the point ! der!!!

@59raymondo No, I killed several small children whilst making this video. I feel quite bad about it actually.

@ruskin1india2film When you've made any contribution at all to the YT community then you can talk. Right now you've done fuck all.

@conferencereport sorry, I didn't realise one had to upload videos to have an opinion.
I find the concept of having 'purchase' conceited and a bit ridiculous.

its very interesting to have a "what or who" I am answer. People ask me and I ask them do you want to know what I do or who I am?
