What does that sign say? "It is forbidden to dump bodily fluids in this river?" That includes, I presume, tears. Touching scene. But humorous, too. That's Doctor Who.
The Doctor also says "All the years" and "find those roots"... it all fits. All those years states that she is older than 16, and has to be a timelord/lady, since she is younger than she looks!
Susan IS a timelord. That has been confirmed. She confirms it... more-or-less... in this clip "Don't belong in this time"..." Grandfather's old... he needs me..." she even forshadows her grandfather's regeneration, for goodness sakes!
imagine if steven moffatt or a later writer sends the doctor back to susan? or within 5 years (being the 10th anniversary of the new season) chris, david and matt do the three doctors special... but yeah continuty isnt great on doctor who... never was like s5 ending its a big time loop.
@Cadam92 I'd love another multi-Doctor episode (Something certainly longer than Time Crash was) but not as back breakingly long as the original Three Doctors.
this is the episode tenant refers to in "the stolen earth" when he says "someone tried to move the earth once before? ..Cant be.." He was referring t how the daleks tried to build an engine in the centre of the earth and navigate it around space.
Well techinically she COULD be half or even quarter Time Lord only (even 1/8 if we believe the movie). Maybe it's like with Tolkiens half-elves .. "I have chosen - a mortal life".
It was Carol Ann Ford's descison to leave the series. I also read that She did not like that she looked younger. Willam Hartnell was born the same year and month as my grandfather and Carol Ann Ford was born the same decade as my mother.
I read that that they had this episode wth the daleks because the first dalek story got so many ratings. Also, this is probably first doctor who story that other aliens were on Earth besides the Doctor and Susan.
I mean the first story to feature any aliens other than the Doctor and Susan. The man who loves susan should be allowd on the Tardis. Also, he might look too old for her though. She might be a lot older than he is maybe.
Frankly I don't understand the love for this story aside from this moment. I thought that most of the William Hartnell Dalek stories were incredibly epic and self indulgent, but i do acknowledge their historical significance in keeping the program in public consciousness.
Your selections for DrWho's "Top Ten" moments are VERY well chosen. I'm particularly impressed by the first Dr moments.
I am presently unfamiliar with the 1st and 2nd doctor eras, and intend to change that as soon as possible. The early clips you have put up are intriguing.
Early DrWho looks very much like televised theater. The stage training of the actors stand out giving these early shows a remarkable stage presence missing from the modern TV era.
Didn't Leela marry a timelord. And it's said somewhere that they had a child. And DoctorDonna metacrisis is completly different thing.

Technically, he still could go back - that would be an interesting episode

Susan identified herself and the Doctor as alien to earth way early in the series.

@britfrenir I meant they got so many good ratings. People even called their friends about it and of course they had the Dalek Merchandise.

@britfrenir There is a Chrismas song with a Dalek on it which is weird. Somome said the popularity of the Daleks makes the show more science fiction.

Anyone else feel she shouldn't have re-appeared in the 20th anniversary special? It just didn't fit her character.

In "The Five Doctors" it is mentioned that Susan is a TimeLadie and also in the Doctor Who Expanded Universe Novels by Virgin Susan renegrates.

The 1st and 2nd Doctor Eras tell some things about the Doctor's origins which is very interesting.
