I've been waiting a long time for someone who can do the following:
1. Lay down rock, rock blues and blues tunes that will have you picking your jaw up off the floor. 2. Absolutely rip apart the fretboard by applying multilple techniques and blazing chops (this guy is NOT a one trick pony) from song to song and even within a song. 3. Have a voice that supports his guitar work AND can sing within the framework of multiple styles (rock, blues, rock blues etc..). JOE BONAMASSA is the REAL DEAL!!!
@lukemanify Agreed! I was really psyched to check out this vid because I love DuG AND Joe, but I couldn't believe it didn't even say what SONG! Paul Rodgers forever! :D
Boozie65 is absolutely right! I saw Doug once outside a show in Pittsburgh at the metropol and he stopped and talked to me for a couple moments, just one on one conversation with me like he knew me.What a great guy a real top notch musician and great human being!
What a voice Pinnick had on this video. He displays a lot of power with the right amout of softness. Plus with Mr Bonamassa on the six string, what more could you want? Brilliant

I'm gonna be honest here. I don't think doug did a great job. I'd rather here Joe sing it really. I mean to be fair Paul Rodgers is maybe my favourite singer of all time so he takes some beating, but if we can't have him i'd rather hear joe sing it.
Is there no one that Joe has not played with? This is awesome.
I was suppose to go to this show and missed it. Damn!

Doug has always had this voice that makes me think he should have been born 25 years earlier so he could jam with Hendrix. :)
KirneH004 1 year ago 3
@KirneH004 Actually he is almost old enough to have jammed with Hendrix. He is only 8 years younger than Hendrix would have been.

Im a huge fan of Jimi Hendrix, but this was wayyyyy better a vocal than Jimi Hendrix. This sounded like some great soul singer from the 60s.

@loreleilee1123 Kings x covert hendrix and seriously i could not tell, by just hearing that it wasent hendrix.
