  • I find that white car the only car to be the only idiot and the other car on going the other direction since the gates went down after that minivan went through

  • Well at one time the switching tower controlled all the gates and did a good job at keeping the crossing clear but now its all automated and you have more problems with it now

  • @tombuseck It's not automated, you have to tell the dispatcher to lower the gates for you if the train's departing Lansdale

  • Just like the low IQ of septa n the design of the silverliner V. Ugly and poorly designed

  • @egbcrushers You must be really smart

It wasn't SEPTA's choice to pick that design

They had to match the FRA requirements

  • @YourNeighbor1000 The FRA didn't force Septa to design partial cabs putting passengers in danger or those narrow doors, thats all Septa. FRA only requires crash worhiness. Check out the MTA's new M7 and M8 designs. They have larger doors and full width cabs that are FRA approved. Destination signs on the front of the cars is not smart either since all passengers enter the sides of the trains rarely paying attention to the front.

  • @egbcrushers I was talking about the outward appearances with the larger windows and stuff

  • @egbcrushers Firstly, mta sucks. Secondly, it was FRA. Thirdly, it's "SEPTA" capitalized.

  • @egbcrushers no they're well designed and well thought out. unlike the mat

  • Hey look the red lights are flashing. Let's pull up and stop on the tracks!

  • Great Video

  • The crossing should have been engineered better so that they would not have the opportunity to make the wrong decision.

  • Looks like they all took their idiot pill with breakfast that day!

  • They were all wrong, but the white car was the biggest idiot of them all by going onto the crossing when the bells were starting to ring and there was nowhere to go ahead.

  • If I was a Lansdale cop or Septa cop looking for activity, I'd sit there all day banging people.

  • @A10PANG Good way to meet that ticket quota that supposedly doesn't exist.

  • @KenSNJ I said looking for ACTIVITY. Big difference.

  • The reason the first train had no cars on the crossing is probably the bus.

  • the darwin award goes to... the white caddy! congrats

  • DUM ASS STUPIDITY poeple the train is coming do not stop on railroad crossing ass hole so any way excellent video

  • I love how scared the driver of the white cadillac gets when the V's give that short horn blast. Also what a beautiful horn those things have.

  • The stupidity of drivers these days truly is limitless it seems. Great shots John.

  • Gotta love how stupid people are! Gotta love how he or she laid on the horn right passed the cars! I'd be crapping myself!

  • @Acela150Kid OK but you're required to blow the crossing signal until the lead unit is at the end of the crossing.

  • @DeltaPhi79 actually it's until the crossing is occupied

  • @Acela150Kid OK... I admit that I was wrong with that, but from what I can tell, there are multiple crossings here. You're also required to blow it until you pass the last one.

  • @DeltaPhi79 I know that. The next one is a little ways down no need for the horn yet. I think this engineer was just trying to get the point across to the cars occupying the crossing not to do it again by blowing the horn as loud and as long as he could.

  • How did you get this angle?
