The next time it went ahead and spammed Megidolaon every turn. After everyone in my party died, I decided to try using beads and see if it ever stopped, and after 22, it didn't.
I would have had no issues with this if it didn't go on sprees of Mamudoons and Hamaons. I used up all of my balms of life and about 15 revival beads all in a row because it just wouldn't stop, the damn thing.
It most certainly is a big-ass tower Virus and the fact you have have to go 15 floors roughly before you can find a two-way transport doesn't help much either lol
i don't think it's something anyone would wanna find out since it PROBABLY causes your game playthrough to end prematurely...maybe. don't quote me on this.
Personally, I find the Tartarus boss fights against single Shadows such as World Balance, Natural Dancer, Sleeping Table, Rampage Drive, and the dreaded Mythical Gigas (1040 damage Deathbound) are harder than the ones that involve groups of a particular shadow.
Thunder Reign strategy mayhaps? If all else fails, use the same tactic with the Reaper for this guy. Otherwise, hit it with your best spells, and constantly heal, if your defense is high enough, throw up a Makarakarn to stop those Hama/Mudo death spells and element weakness hits. I'm not too sure but I didn't have much trouble with him, might have died on very first attempt since I'd no clue what I was dealing with.
i beat this thing in 4 turns O_O it's easy u know. just use thunder call and have one party member that goes after u knock down, relent until weak and pwn
don't ever use magic mirror cuz he's gonna spam megidolaon on u (trust me, i tried once)
Surprised you used Aigis here... with all the electric attacks he used I had enough trouble with just Yukari. Ken and Koromaru did all the work for me here though, wasn't too tough
Oh, i remember of use Yukari in this battle too (i dont remember why, since she is not one of my main chars, and was 10 lv low then my main party)...he needed to use only 1 ziodyne and she was dead....and everytime i ress her, he hit her with Ziodyne and then started again with the Ma-Dyne spell....he was easy, but i though he was really smart ^^`` (you normally dont see a enemy use over and over again a spell in a char how are weak against it)
He killed me cause he was smart. He was low on hp and he destroyed me with him attacking each character weakness. Attack single then use Mutli which kills one character and damage the rest but my healing can fix that except the dead. He did this 4 times.
Well, i dont remember very well of the reaper in P3(since when ive fight him i was already 9x and all), but in P3:FES he was just crazy...He keeped using Bufudyne in Akihiko and then Mabufudyne (if he was still alive) or break elem./Mamuduon/Mahamaon...oh good times ^^...its good then even high level, the reaper still give us some trouble :D
To make this fight even easier - get a Persona to use Makarakan (magic reflect), it'll force the AI to spam Megidoloan. That might sound harder, but he'll stop using mahamudoon and mahanmaon (and no weakness hits since no more elemental spams) too. From there just make sure you have enough SP for Mediarahan or Medirama with Spell Master or Divine Grace.
Should work, I restarted the fight about five times to see if it'd break Makarakan and it always went straight to Megidoloan spam.
That's why you get a Persona with Medirama and Divine Grace - easily overheal his megidoloan with 18 SP per cast. You can lower that down even more with SP recovery items.
It's actually easier to force him to spam megidoloan - he won't use instant kill spells.
Honestly it's easier without the Magic Mirror. Megidolaon is absolutely annoying and the other spells aren't as strong unless your weak against it.If you had like say Metatron then you could just melee the thing to its Justice Grave.
Yes, this is the strategy I used. Though I discovered it by accident because I thought the Magic Mirror would make all magic bounce back. When I saw he was doing nothing but Megidoloan I just kept healing and went on with the battle.
The next time it went ahead and spammed Megidolaon every turn. After everyone in my party died, I decided to try using beads and see if it ever stopped, and after 22, it didn't.

funny thing is though, a lot of people thought it was a self learning A.I. disguised as a Boss that kept countering every move in one's strategy >.>

I think I´m overpowered...
In FES on Hard mode, my weakest char in the party was at lvl 65 :D
(at this point). I killed it using Agidyne over and over after my party fell :P

I beat it pretty easily with a somewhat cheep method of Thunder Reign, Critical, All-out, Critical, waste its turn, repeat till dead.

It worked for Thr Reaper. I don't blame ya for that strategy

You know the best part about facing this boss on the hard difficulty in Persona 3 FES?
If you set up a reflect to bounce back his magic all he will use is Megidolaon.
Good times
