@1blckjck yeah well i hunt around there every year and i find it to be a shame the mnr took his buck. that guy did not shoot the deer. thats an mnr officer. they guy who shot the deer. shot it legally in the daylight and did not put a very great shot on it. it was running good on them and it was getting dark. so when they came up on it. they put another shot in him to put him down or they wouldve never found him. yes he shouldve not taken another shot at night. but the mnr shouldve compromised.

Run run jump run run jump jump jump run etc. We do a lot of push and post type hunting and things happen real fast, so ya better b ready. Try doing this after walking cat tail sloughs and tree rows all day. Yes it takes skill and nerve to shoot high power.

It would seem to me that you would want to leave those impressive animals alive and well to breed with the does, so that the herds become better through superior genetics, vs. leaving the scrawny little bucks to do all the breeding. THE DEER IS REAL. It is on Display in the museum in Dryden Ontario, it was not scored as it was poached.
