  • its a dream to see vy canis majorous

  • this is amazing!!

  • scary to think that VY Canis Majoris would completely engulf our solar system and cover everything in it and much much more

  • @RRReid294 not all the solar system it will reach beyond jupiter thats all :) donc undestemate the larger of our solar system

  • XDISASTERPIECE what are u saying about?

  • WTF?

  • what if all the stars in this video went against canis magores

  • Hey VY Canis Majoris?

Chuck Norris is bigger than you!

  • @MajinBuuDevil chuck norris is a pussy who doesn't even believe in evolution, Bruce Lee is way better!

  • @xXDISASTERPIECE934Xx ...but Bruce Lee is dead!

  • Imagine the light has to travel 2 hours to bypass that fucking planet ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Arnoud1987000 planet?...

  • @Arnoud1987000 it's a star....

  • 0:23 It's Skaia!

  • VY canis majoris+majoras mask= sequel Mojoras star

  • actually i have heard of VY Canis Majoris

  • Is that Mike Rowe?

  • as if the blue star wasn't big enough

  • @3kdark i hate the sun

  • That is just the storing room of Chuk Norris ...

  • Our sun sucks!! :(

  • @3kdark If we had any bigger, we would not be alive today.

Earth would not be a habitual planet.

  • i hate the sun, but you know what i kinda hate more? The Canis Majoris. i gotta admit though, it is kinda facinating in a way...

  • Our sun is smaller than the head of a pin compared to canis majoris.

  • :O

  • in the far future of men.. we would think this is a waste.. for humans will use the energy of those stars. (i hope so, its a cool thought, if you think how much energy these things provite!

  • if i get 100 likes i have 30 so far ill kill justin beiber well beaver

  • vy canis majoris is chuck norris testicle

  • hey on the third sun did u guys here anal juice

  • @MrBookofdeath Betelgeuse or "Beetle Juice"

  • what would happen if that would explode?

  • @CryDayLV Well, the same thing happend to every star in history of the universe :) black hole, pulsare or a quasar one of those three things would happen

  • that last star id my left testical

  • this rappers says hes illuminated like vy canis majoris

    youtube.com/user/YKDsEVOLVEDCREATURES

  • Holy Shiittt !!!

  • Peas and Rice!

  • Wow... A 10 second long animation about Pokemon brought me here... Well ok then. Things like this are amazing. It makes you realize how small you are and how big this world is. And these are only the stars we've discovered! I cant imagine what else waits for us out in our universe :D

  • VY Canis Majora is 5000 light years away. So for a size comparison its like a marble placed 500,000 km away. The only possible reason we can even see it is because it's so bright. On that same scale, our sun is microscopic -- the size of a red blood cell -- and only about a millimeter away.

  • @baobubs Thanks for that, I think you owe my fried brain an apology.

  • @UseAbuseReuse. Hey, this video overheated my brain. The "too big to comprehend" alarm went off, and steam started coming out of my ears.

  • @baobubs Haha, I bet the sound of train horns wailed through your home :p

  • @baobubs Scratch that, I actually meant the sound of a tea kettle. Not sure where the hell I got train horns from, lol.

  • What was the name of this document? I need to see it. Modern marvels?

  • @Thomaxius Its on netflix streaming called how the universe works

  • The Sun got owned.

  • And there's a chance there could be bigger

  • Chuck Norris called. He wants his left nut back.

  • Clearly... size means nothing at all :D hooray for the infinitely large/small dividing nature of all that is oneness 64 star tetrahedron.

  • Scary star VY Canis Majoris holds 1 billion suns. Oh My God!

  • l think ... this would be ... more interesting if ... it had a dancing bananna

  • LOL earth smaLL?

  • my nuts are bigger

  • holy fuck

  • SUN, Y U NO BIG? I DISAPOINT.

  • Damn nature, you scary!

  • damn vy canis majoris, why you so big?!

  • @crid37 THIS IS A RED GIANT, A DYING STAR, THAT BEFORE ITS FUEL ENDS EXPLODES IN THIS RED BIG SHAPE. IT WILL SOONLY BECOME A SUPER NOVA, THEN A WHITE DWARF, OR A BLACK HOLE

  • @Xavimanjazz -_- it was a rhetorical question. i'm an aerospace engineering major, i'm not dumb. lol

  • @crid37 OK I´M SORRY HAHAHAHA

    I DIDN'T GET THAT :)

    BLESSINGS!

  • @Xavimanjazz I think when this explodes its gonna spawn a red demon portal hole.

  • Respond to this video... what it is that big

  • damn whoops

  • @Xavimanjazz hypernova* (100 supernovae)

  • This Star is almost as big as Chuck Norris :D

  • I.e. giant planets and alien life?

  • OWNED!!!!!!!!!!! THE SUN IS FREAKIN OWNED!

  • how many helium balloons can i fill with vy canis majoris? lets find out

  • @a1sauses You may grow old and die before you even get to a quarter of that amount loll

  • sun ,...why you no big?

  • so. what fight will be? star wars? gun war? WHAT!?

  • 2 dislikers.

That is my boner and our Sun.

  • @keronplug14 Just don't tell your dick about Sloan great wall,K?

  • Finally, something bigger than my penis.

  • @255wwefan they've had that for awhile, it's called 5inches

  • @255wwefan

    what chinks don't count LOL!

  • @255wwefan Weird...I didn't hear them mention anything about a grain of sand in the video?

  • @255wwefan ou maj gaaaad nááájs =DDDD very nice joke, thumb up from me ;)

  • @255wwefan sounds like sumthing my freind sukhmun would say

  • @255wwefan

Finally, an original comment in the top

  • @valdejunquera OK then.

  • how far from us is canis? can we see it at night with naked eye?

  • @01sircharles Yes. But it's very hard to see it. Mostly because it's very far away.

  • @01sircharles Yes it's visible as a 8th Magnitude star because it's 5000 light years away

  • @MsMegamusicmaster The Milky Way will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy before then, if that doesn't kill us the sun will lose its layers and become a white dwarf. : /

  • @CodCats The sun will be our star for more 5 billion years, Andromeda will colide in 3 billion years... But we won't die because of a galaxy colide, no stars will hit each other...

  • @MsMegamusicmaster

I hate to ruin your moment, but

    1. Our sun isn't going to explode, its going to become a red giant then slowly release it's outer layers to form a planetary nebula and leave behind its ultra-dense core, a white dwarf.

    2. Eventually, (very very very very far from now), the fuel necessary for fusion in stars (H) will run out in the universe and stars will no longer exist. Look up "Big Freeze"

  • @MsMegamusicmaster getting torn and ripped apart is only 1 possibility, the second posibility is that when the sun begins to die, the magnetic pull of the sun will be lost, thus setting us free from the sun's pull and letting us survive the explosion, unless we get pulled in by another star :)

  • @MsMegamusicmaster I think we'll get taken out by something other than our own sun, if that was it's time span.

  • its hard to believe those little dots we see at night are fucking huge balls of fire.

  • @zaena123 Hahaha i cracked up with your comment hahaha

  • @zaena123 They're huge balls of gas under very strange conditions, not necessarily fire.

Still hot, though. Don't touch. I thought blowing on the sun would cool it down, but... I was wrong.

  • osea que somos una mamadita en el espacio uff

  • @TheBibleIsLame

    That is mind boggling..

  • Sun, do something!

  • would there be any habital zone for this system? The radiotion would be on an amazingly larger scale perhaps to put this on our systems scale would the ort cloud be the habital zone? or a KBO have liquid water? other systems are very interesting....I just wonder how diverse life is on other systems...

  • @recon82nd

    sure, why not?

farther out there is a habitable zone arround every star.

just depends on the ammount of heat it radiates.

smaller stars habitable zones are nearer to them, but that would most probably make planets in ther vicinity rotarybound - which means one side is always faced to that star - and that creates surely some interesting phenomena on that planet ;) (no moving sun...)

and is of course farther out on bigger, or brighter stars

  • @JheakrynaKyAlur its just interesting and it sucks b/c we cant observe with current methods i wonder how far out its satillities are and how big they are.....b/c you have to essentailly scale up everything....but i would not want to live in that system b/c that star is going to have one nasty supernova and life would not have a very long time to live in the grand scheme of things

  • @recon82nd

that star (vy cm) most probably has no satelites, since it is in the end of it's life, and by that most probably has swallowed every, or at least most, stalites orbiting it :D

  • The Sun disliked this video.

  • If it is so big how come it doesn't reach the earth?

  • @jojojob75 because the universe is much much much bigger than everything... there are maybe even stars that are bigger than VY Canis Majoris

  • @jojojob75 u r the stupidest dumbass ever

  • @jojojob75 That's actaully not a stupid thing to ask seeing as something as far away as the sun can reach the earth because it's so huge then how come something a million times bigger than the sun that's very far away can't also reach the earth?

  • wow if u imagine how big our sun is.. but then this thing, this is so damn huge i can´t imagine it properly i must admit

  • Chuk Majoris

  • That... is fucking insane. But I'm sure there are bigger stars out there we haven't found yet. We are so freaking insignificant.

  • The sun's circumference is 430,000 miles, so how could the diameter be 1 million miles?

  • @911insidejo8 wikipedia says: sun's equatorial circumference: 4.379×10^6 km ~ 2.714980×10^6 miles and a mean diameter of 1.39200×10^6 km ~ 0.863040×10^6 miles so 1 million seems to be pretty accurate.

  • @911insidejo8

I wonder what the diameter of Canis Majoris is?

  • I wonder, if it were possible, how many years it would take to fly around Canis Majoris going 1000 mph? Planet earth is not even the size of a hair follicle on an elephant in comparison to our sun and the sun being the same to canis majoris...Man....We are VERY insignificant

  • Lol...our sun disliked this video:)

  • @DeeDub02 lol that was the firist dislike comment i lol'd at

  • now that is HUGE !!!

  • ud get quite a tan from staying in that behemoth's gaze

  • The radius of VY Canis Majoris is about 2,000 times larger than that of our Sun; therefore the volume should be 2,000 x 2,000 x 2,000 = 8,000,000,000.

The VY Canis Majoris is 8 billion times bigger than the Sun.

In other word, 8 billion Suns needed to fill volume of VY Canis Majoris

  • VY Canis Majoris is a huge ass star... try to imagine this star going into supernova >_>

  • this video inspired me to be an astronomer

  • okay. i can't imagine this.

  • @D5932 It's almost un-imaginable :)

  • Why do the american have always to call something big a monster????

So do they have a moster country with monster skyscrapers, monster cars and monster ice creams?! ;))

  • @Hamishtarah Actually all but the country yes.

We have Monster cars, and we have Monster skyscapers, as well as monster ice cream.

The country is one of the few things we dont call monster.

  • @Hamishtarah You see if it big it most be strong(this is how a lot of Americans see things)

So if it giant it most be extremely strong, on the str lvl of a monster.

Their for yes, we have a lot of things over here where corporations put monster in front of the name.

To get people to buy it.

  • @nisteven Thank you for your exlanations :)

  • I am a shit in the universe

  • I want to jump into VY Canis Majoyis

  • Lol, there is a giant red star called Cannis majoris that can explode at any time and we are afraid that the sun explodes?

  • Vy Canis Majoris could literally hypernova at any day.

  • sun, i am disapoint.

  • a new star was discoverd Z Z canis majoris 5135 times bigger than our sun

  • The Canis Majoris is a red hypergiant, when arrives he the supernova-status?

  • @mati123ish that would be an understatement.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • Can some one type all the name of the stars because can't find them in Google u.u!

  • @rhenanichan vy canis majoris the bigger

  • Thats one big fucker

  • Jupiter will kill that shit

  • WOW!! i think this thing is too small compare to Milky Way

  • V. Y. Canis Majoris is a drop in a bucket,compared to the endless universe,in my opinion !! /;-)

  • Canis Majoris- translates to- Big Mother Fucking Star

  • Mind boggling!

  • Woah...damn...

  • Wow, that's almost as big as one of my testicles!

  • HOLY FUCK

  • Imagine we could use any of those stars' energy for our benefit. Energy issues would be solved for the rest of mankind's existence.

  • Gee wizz :/

  • Teh Floodz! :D

  • The Volume of VY Canis Majoris is 8 billion times bigger than the sun

  • @Crocobasa So is your mom's pussy.

  • @backinthecrystal please if you dont have anything smart to tell just stfu and dont click such videos you dumbass

  • i want see when VY Canis Majori explodes and make a black hole we are realy fuked

  • @nomedeuusuario actually, VY Canis Majoris is too far away to do any damage. and not all stars create black holes when they die. i'm not saying vy canis majoris wont, but after it 's core implodes and creates a shockwave that blows away the outer layers of the star, known as a supernova or even hypernova, it could either leave behind a rappidly spinning neutron star or a black hole. this star may have already died, but the light didnt reach us yet because it's so far away.

  • @themanof5 actually a hypernova can only leave behind a black hole

  • @tdsar102094 i realize that, but vy canis majoris may not go hypernova.

  • its going to be interesting when that star goes supernova....

  • Its apparently very unstable and will go hyperova in less less than 100000

  • Can fit a million Earths inside the sun and VY Canis Majoris is 1 billion times bigger than our sun. The math (1,000,000 X 1,000,000,000) shows a number with 15 zeros on the end of it. And this is in miles!!!

  • incredible

  • i pissed my pants at 0:15. at 0:26 i shitted my pants. at 0:40 i fainted

  • And to think, there is probably a star out there that is a billion times bigger than VY Canis Majoris 0.o It's mind boggling

  • @bjpw1234 It really is. That just shows how massive the universe is. Just think there's probably planets, stars and even comets with a diameter of sexvigintillion (1 and 81 zeros) in size. Now that my friend, is massive and the universe itself is so infinite you'd be well over 1 and a trillion zeros. The list of possibilities for the numbers is infinite.

  • ni siquiera tengo nada que decir al respecto es tan grande que da lo mismo lo que piense...

  • Lolol. VY Canis Majoris reminds me of a fat chick.

  • @theriders09 SHUT UR DUMBASS UP U SLUT

  • why is that 1 star blue?

  • @IpodTouchpr0zX Because it's so damn hot! The more blue the more hot.

  • @Chomper888 Without reading IpodTouchpr0zX's comment. The Earth is blue, and it ain't hot. Not yet anyways *coughs* global warming.

  • @jackofblades100 Hehe. i meant from a sun.

  • lmao yv stretches wayyyyyyyyyyyy further than our solar system lool

  • They should make a condom brand with that name. Canis Majoris Condoms.

  • I wish they would make up their minds I just watched another star scale that said it's 100 billion times the sun

  • @TheDrunkenTrooper Yeah I read the same thing somewhere :\

  • <
