  • beautiful dog!

  • my akita hates the vacuum too, but he sits on ours nd then barks louder to suppress the noise xD

  • lol my akita hates vaccuums too only she's terrified of them. she jumps on the couch and looks like the most miserable dog in the world if she hears vaccuums, thunder, or fireworks.

  • That's how you teach a dog bad habits....

  • why would anyone do this to a beautiful DOG, abuse with vacum

  • my dog puts her tongue in the vacuum its funny as EVER!

  • thats cruel dude. Hopefully the akita will bite your face off for winding the poor dog up

  • wow you can clearly see that the dog is playing. Some people need to chill out.

  • OMG this is like looking at an older version of my puppy O.O

  • Akita's love to play like that- too cute

  • Cool color on that akita.... ALMOST as cool as mine...i have a couple vids of him if you want proof. haha

  • I miss my Suki BU

  • Of corse the dogs not gonna like it yu keep puttin it in it's face

  • Those teeth look gnarly.

  • i like her color she is a beautiful pup

  • I...I.... I dont wanna see mr. hoover.....

  • what dog is that

  • My male Akita is 115 lbs and my female Akita is 90 lbs and they are both scared to death of a vacuum cleaner!

  • Akitas are a breed like a Pitbull,Known for such a bad reputation but are really great digs if trained right. You need to show dominance towards them also, they need to know who is in charge. You must buy as a puppy cause the Akita has such a companionship towards there original family.Great guard dos,They shed and grow a new coat twice a year. And they require a lot of space to move. Also the Akita is very stubborn during puppy hood,But the dog is great. If bored they can be destructive though.

  • My sister has a all black male akita Max he likes to do that to. I love to get him started with the vaccum.

  • My akita likes it when we take the vacumm and vacumm her hair.

  • That dog is the double of a akita I had...very nice........love the breed..

  • my akitas run and hide from the vaccuum cleaner

  • She's like "I don't know what that is, but I know I want it dead".

  • your akita is brave, my puppy runs around aimlessly just at the sight of the vacume cleaner lol....

  • Cute!

My Border Collie runs at just the sight of our vaccum

  • im thinking about getting a akita dog or a cat...advice?

  • Akitas are very strong wiled and powerful dogs.very loyal and loving but are not for the faint hearted. They take a lot of work.

If you can't give this, then go for the cat.

  • @saiakita lol cats are bad ass to lol but yeah do reserch and then take a day or two to think if it would be the right dog for u.....Note they are a big ball of warm fur lmao if u get one use it as a pillow when u watch a movie on the floor hehe but gud luck ^^

  • @saiakita He plays like a cat lol. Well every cat I had. And sorta like a dog (had boxer).

  • @murphyxd1

I have a cat and she is lovely (if not a bit scratchy and stubborn about what food she likes and not) mind you, we got our cat from a rescue centre and they did say that she may never become the perfect household pet, i still love her to bits. if you have the time, money, space and will to get an akita, go for it, as long as you know EXACTLY how to deal with them, akitas are very boisterous dogs and may not cope well with other people and younger children.

  • @murphyxd1

oh yeh, they are also VERY protective, not only over thier owner, but over thier food

when my dad gets a better job, we are hoping to get an akita but i am slightly worried about how it would cope with the cat (to be honest, i would be more worried about the dog than the cat, she is deadly)

cats make lovely household pets but they do spend a lot of the day sleeping, and eatine. but that is just my cat, other cats i've seen are much better

  • @murphyxd1

sorry, the stupid character count keeps running out

other cats i have seen are much nicer than mine and i would definately recommend a cat if you wanted a pet. on the other hand, once trained, akitas can make brilliant companions. my advice? taljk to someone who has one (or both) of these two animals and they might give you a valid answer)

  • @murphyxd1 and the hair..dont forget the hair..but in the end they are the best dogs

  • @murphyxd1 get both they can get along

  • @murphyxd1 if you thought cat first you should get a cat i have owned 3 akitas they are very strong willed and need a stern master they are the best compainion you can ask for if trained properly

  • @murphyxd1 akita or a cat? thats like decidibg between a pickup truck or a bicycle

  • @murphyxd1

Get cat and akita.I have either

  • @murphyxd1 Just a bit of advice, I wouldn't put an Akita outside and expect a fence to keep him/her in. They are smart as heck... Our akita (sadly passed away two years ago due to age) gave us a multitude of trouble with our fences. Akita's are loyal and loving like already said, but they are SMART. And that isn't giving them enough credit. Just be sure you can handle one if you get one.

I loved our Akita to death, but he was a handful =)

  • @murphyxd1 get a cat. I have two akitas and they are a full time job. :)

  • LOL!!

  • thanks i already go a shiba inu tho well i got it 2 day ago

  • Akitas are amzaing Beautiful dogs but it dont help that your jabbing him in the face with it

  • lol well of course he hates it if you point it in his face.

My dogs bark at the vaccuum whenever we use it XD

  • Yea my Akita hates our Dyson but I would lose a hand if I poked a vacuum extension at her. That is on the cruel side.

  • @dvpac4 im jokeing i thought it whas funny because akitas are very though and nobal dogs its kind of ironic

  • my dog runs away from a vacuum

  • haha... thats funny cause my akita does the same thing

  • out of all large mastiff breeds them Akitas are the cutie

  • akitas are mastiffs?

  • no lol, that person is a moron, akitas are the same type of dogs as shiba inus, and are closely related to chow chows and pomeranians

  • obviosely it would if your poking it in the face with it! lmao :P wer geting one of them a puppy :D cant w8

  • Almost the exact same color as mine!

He's got an all black face and is goldidh-blonde.

    His name's bear.

  • so cute, i think she was actually playing

I was considering getting an akita once i move to my own place, they are very famous for their loyalty

  • A lot of dogs are extremely loyal to an extreme. Akitas, you should REALLY think about before getting. No easy cake walk at all.

  • Nice clean teeth! Does he get bones to gnaw?

  • Haha thats really cute

  • i use to have a Nova Sova Duck Towing Retervier and a dushund...whenever i vacuum my house they both would go crazy and try to attack it like it was a wild animal or something. it was too funny

  • Why pester him/her that much? Gorge dog tho!

  • We are not pestering her, she actually enjoys it, believe it or not. I would never intentionally upset our dog

  • my uncle just got this dog!!!!!

  • trying touching his or her paws they hate that =)

  • So does mine XD

  • i have a 7 month old akita named arson and hes a teddy bear he loves all other dogs...he tries to play with every cat he sees.he did chase down and kill a rabbit in my backyard though

  • wow cute akita dog..

try use a air tool hose blow out

  • funny stuff...my akita hates the broom! You should check out my page I have a couple of videos of her and I will post some more soon.

  • Our akita runs away when I vacuum.

  • same here. its QUITE funny if i do say so =Þ

  • only took my akita pup a month to get used to the vaccum, now he is not afraid and doesnt bark at it anymore

  • whats the temperament like of Akitas? All I seem to hear is that they are very aggressive and confrontational especially with other dogs and animals? Is this seemingly common belief unjust though?

  • Hi, our Akita has a great temperament and is not at all aggressive with people, but different with other dogs, she just doesn't get on with them. We keep her on a lead when other dogs are around, she has never ever attacked another dog, but we just won't take the chance so tend to take her different ways to avoid other dogs. They do have a bad reputation but depends how you bring them up. Ours is a big softie in the home, She is so funny and a great character and is very loyal.

  • @saiakita my akita is the same...he's sucha softie at home...he's good around kids...but if sumone walks into the house un announced...he's in for a big surprise...plus he so does not get on with other animals....but he's a brill dog....he's my 1st akita..n i will never ever get ne other dog but an akita in the future...they are really wat u call BEST FRIENDS

  • @saiakita I would hav2 2 disagree with u a little bit. My akita was agressive towards other dogs when she was just 10 weeks old. She would growl at the other dogs and even mount herself ! Some Akitas are born with an aggression, they are closely related 2 the wolf. So we just have been careful with her around other dogs and people she doesn't know but besides that she is the best most behaved loving dog!!!!!!! She is turning 10 in 12 days! So i recommend not getting one unless u have experience!

  • My Akita would "lick" you to death, they are wonderful dogs and her best friend is our Shih tzu who sleeps on top of her, basically there are no bad dogs only bad owners, if you treat your dog right it will become a loving pet regardless of the breed.

  • Don't forget to look at the genetics. An Akita with a bad mother or father will have some problems. Temperament is really how you make it. I've seen social Chow chows, and I've seen mean ass Akitas. Akitas are dignified dogs who demand to be respected. Best to meet one in person b/c they are NOT small dogs. Big and powerful with a survivor-personality as they were not bred to work in groups. But temperament is what you make it. Socialize the dog ALOT, he'll be pudding, but still he'll protect.

  • Our 8 yo "wooly" Akita, Mika, is very sweet. The key to raising a non-aggressive Akita is to socialize them a lot & make SURE you're the alpha in the home... or they WILL be alpha & that's where aggression comes in. This video is classic Akita behavior. As with ALL dogs, they need to be watched closely around non-family, especially small children. Akitas were bred to protect their own "pack" for centuries. Be RESPONSIBLE & train them RIGHT from the start.

  • That's a lie. I have one and she was friend with my guniea pig and she is now with my dachshund

  • hi, i just got an akita puppies and even he is more aggresive than ur average pup. he bites and growls alot. They are first class gaurd dogs and they are agressive not alot of people can train them they're very dominant

  • We have an Akita and he has an ok temperament. He is very friendly with people, except strangers. He tends to be more affectionate towards girls then boys (when he first met my dad he growled at him, he is clingy with my mom).

He did bite me recently because I was bothering him while he was resting, which they do ALOT of.

Other then that he's like a big baby.

  • @jonno1980 Some akitas can be agressive at times, but it depends on the dog. Mine is very protective of me and my family. They are definitely an only dog.

  • @jonno1980 I have a 16 month old akita called Kai, as for temperament, hes a big wet lettuce, all he wants to do is play with all other animals. He is a bit big and boisterous for a lot of dogs but he plays with my friends doberman all the time and is surprisingly careful.

  • @jonno1980 As long as they are well-socialized from a young age (like any dog) they should be pretty good. They have kind, good temperaments if they were raised and bred well. The last Akita we owned wouldn't attack a dog that was constantly antagonizing him until that dog got too violent with him. Even then he didn't hurt the dog, he just knocked it down and stood over it until it calmed down. Apparently when I was little I stuck my arm down his throat (poor dog) and he didn't try to bite me.

  • Yeah mine too, any big dog comes near her and she goes for it but turn on the vacuum and she runs for her life... Very funny.

  • You guys must be right. My Akita takes off even if I just touch the vacuum.

I've been working with him a bit to try and get him used to the vacuum. I was recently able to get him to lay down and I used the extension with the brush tip on his fur and sucked up a bunch of loose fur. He enjoyed the brush.

It's so funny though. If some dark shadowy figure jumped in our yard at 2am an Akita would barrel out there instantly! Turn on a vacuum however and they Scooby Doo the heck out of there.

  • My Akita hides from the vaccume and then try's to come at it sneakily from another angle its so funny to watch.

  • The have got a great sense of humour. We've just put a new floor down and she loves sliding around on it. They are great dogs.

  • yeah i know what u mean my akita would always slide on the kitchen floor cause their paws are webbed kind of but its funny

  • I had one when I was 7. And we lived on a huge 150 acre farm in Canada. Then for financial reasons we had to move to the city, and I think the move really messed with her. She kind of went insane and tried to kill me, and successfully killed our ferrets and cats. So we had to get rid of her. I was like...11 at the time.

  • I'm really sorry to hear that. The move must have done it. They are lovely dogs tho. x

  • my japaneese akita is scared of the vacuum. Sometimes he will play running around with me trying to catch him, sometimes he will just run away

  • Aww

  • i have a akita chow and he hates the vaccum too

  • Are you sure that wasn't blowing it, my dog hates blowing things on it's face

  • lmao I did this to my akita and he grabbed the hose and ripped it out of the vaccum now i have to get a new hose becuase he put holes in the hose this video was the inspiration thank you saiakita/lol

  • my akita does the same thing with the vacuum. she'll hide and try and take it by surprise. lol

  • Luna is Akita-Chow and she is totally afraid of the vacuume.

  • Haha thats really cute, i have a 5 year old Akita named Sheeba. Shes just a big baby and i treat her like an angel, i love that dog more than anything, she truly is mans best friend.

  • lol my dog hates loud noises like a chainsaw and some one sawing wood

  • my akita puppy is scared of the vaccum. everytime we vaccum he runs and hides behind our couch

  • hi, may i please borrow your dog.

i want to cuddle it... :D

  • Aww Thanks, but no lol

  • must be a akita thing me does the same thing he has kill one vac all ready lol

  • both of my Akitas stalk the vacumn from behind while I am cleaning the house, they will hide behind the couch and try to take the vacumn by surprise, like I cant see a 120 and 100 pound dog "hiding" silly girls.

  • lmao, that's soo cute/funny.

  • i dont wanna see mr hoover

  • I have an akita also. These dogs are the best in the world and they are SO funny to sit and watch for a couple of hours.

  • OMG Tht Is The Most Pretties Dog I've Seen In My Lyk Its Soo Gawjuss LOOL

    Rhii X

  • Cute - My Akita does that exact same "jump-crouch" thing when playful, but he doesn't attack objects he hates. The only thing I find my dog to hate are brooms - His previous owner caused him to fear them, sadly.

  • HOW FUNNY. I even showed my akita Haylie the video and said "look at the silly pup", and she got her nose even closer to the screen like she was gonna play. VERY funny. .akita's make me laugh.

  • I agree, thanks

  • pit bulls are fun because people think "o look at me i have a fighting dog". well listen up i have an Akita and i don't like people who let there dogs become mean but there is almost nothing you can do to stop an Akita if it wants to kill a passing German Shepard. I love my Akita But for all you fools out there who buy pit bulls and make them into fighters this dog is not for you this dog will eat your sister. this dog will eat you 5 pit bulls.

  • rubbish

  • keep your bad comments to yourself please. It's not meant to be a major film production. It's just a bit of fun, if you don't like it, get lost !!

  • hey im lookin at these dogs and malamutes and huskies cus i really want a dog of my own but i dno what to get because at dads my sisters gt a pitbull which is great with the kitten so if it lived there itd be ok but itd proberly end up livin with me at mums where my mum has a yorkie and a border collie and they can be a bit nervous around bigger dogs so what ya think?

  • Do the homework. Akita's aren't for everyone. They are wonderful dogs. I love my girl but they are very different personality wise from Malamutes and huskies. As well as how to keep them. Any dog, socialize it with all animals and people and train it. And Akita's can get up to 200 lbs in the males at biggest.

  • well the pitbull i look after so i do hav experience with strong dogs and im 15 almost 16 so i could handle it because when its big il be 17

  • It's all about how you train ANY DOG. Pitbulls and Rottie's have the same reputation as Akita's, however every Rottie, Akita, and pitbull i know are SWEET as can be. It really is all in how you train them and socialize them like "gothicangelnico" said. Akita's are WONDERFUL LOVING dogs.

  • my dog hates the vacumm itself. she just doesnt like the noise.

  • Do akitas like to stay outside by themselves for a long period of time without whining and barking to come inside?

  • my akita loves to be outside but will let us know when she wants to come back in - they don't like to be left outside by themselves for long periods though.

  • thanks for your reply. My husnabd and i would love to get an akita to be a companion for our pharaoh hound but we ARE VERY allergic to dog hair so we'd like to keep them both in the sunroom and outside. Do you think the akita would be ok with that? We can't have it at all inside of the house except the sun room.

  • Hi again, I wouldn't recommend a Akita as they shed their coat twice a year and it's really really bad, you would also need wooden flooring or similar (no carpets) as the hair goes everywhere. They also don't cope very well in the heat and their coat is very thick, so wouldn't recommend sunroom. Also they need quite a bit of attention (well ours does anyway) hope this helps. Regards

  • my akita loves staying outside and i live where its hot most of the here. he never barks or whines to come inside but he'll occasionally paw the door

  • cute!

  • BEAUTIFULL DOG!

  • Thank You very much

  • Mine is 3 1/2 years old and weighs 8 stone. I think she may be a little overweight too. You should put your Akita on You Tube too.

  • hey i that kind of dog except mines a male named fuji

  • Hello, hello. Nice akita u got. But wasn't it a bit mean to make him scare like that? :(. Anyway. Thanks for sharing the video. It was nice one. : )

  • Hi, thanks for your comment - (she) isn't scared at all, she loves it and is just playing - I would never intentionally scare my baby girl.

  • Ookay. That's nice. Just though, coz the name of the video tells other. Thanks for telling that you wouldn't scare ur doggy . :)

  • She's Called Sai (her pedigree name is KemilforSai)

Your dog looks quite similar too, Thanks

  • I meant Kenmilfore Sai

  • So awesome! She is so cute and funny. What is her name? Check out our Akita. She looks very similar.

    Boomer

  • That looks a cute dog, but also a MEAN SONOFABITCH!

  • Aww, she's not mean - she's lovely, not aggressive at all. Only when she see's other dogs !!! She's great with people. But Thanks for saying she's cute.

  • nice dog!!

  • Thank You, she's my baby and really funny

  • That was so funny! When she barked she must have been saying "Yamero!" meaning "Stop!" in Japanese. Still though, I'm sure she knew you were playing. This is a cute video! I love it!

  • Hiya, She likes it really, when we turn the hoover off, she always wants it back on, very playful dog. She knows we're just playing. Thanks for your comment.
