I was unsure about COD elite being a subscription service but i suppose if you get all the DLC and it doesn't cost more than $5, £3 or €4 a month its not a bad deal since that's how much you will pay for the 4 map packs throughout the year. Any more than that though and it seems like it will be a waste of money for me at least.

Mainly cost. I mean for people like Apple, they have to manufacturer very small components for their Ipod touch releases that are also cost effective. While companies like Intel and AMD don't have to worry about that to a degree.

Xbox has still got the 1 month exclusivity for DLCs (as far as I know), and COD is built from Xbox architecture before PS3 and PC; that said, Infinity Ward does a MUCH better job at making the experience level with all systems, as opposed to Black Ops, compared PS3/Xbox, PS3 has a much worse deal. If you sell your 360, find some exclusives on the PS3 to go along with MW3 - no cross-platform game is worth enough to make the switch :P
