I love the brilliantly-composed widescreen shots in these sequences. You have to watch like a detective to see, not only the machinations of the drug buy, but the actions of the detectives in the hall as well.
Yes, cool and devastating and what an adaptation of King's Ransom. Filmmaking in this genre doesn't get any better. Watch the 4 minute realtime Bullet Train scene for gripping tension. I think it's Kurosawa's best film by far!
