Arthas disbanded the Knights of the Silver Hand, hired mercenaries to burn down his own ships, stranded his own soldiers in Northrend, blamed it on the mercenaries and had them killed, and knowingly allowed Muradin, who was his closest friend and mentor, to die so he could get the sword. No matter what the ends were, he did alot of screwed things before he even touched the sword.

What would happen if Arthas didn't lose the helmet? Frostmourne was destroyed by the Ashbringer and his soul was freed, but what if he didn't lose his helmet? Would he still be evil?
who knows if the spirit terenas was telling the truth after being sealed in the curse blade for so long, maybe that grin before his spirit disappears was just an act from the lich king so that Tirion wont destroy LK's essence which was encased in that armor back in WC3. Blizzard is good at making come backs with *dead* characters.
If they save some characters as for example Arthas father its kind of seems to fit
if its rought ressurecting someon in life its a bit lame
About the wid - actualy damned wasnt waiting for such a twist turn yet so fitting
ATlest one part that I really really like about WoTLK the come back of starting lore and nice twists on the countrary to all the gameplay fails (because of the wow becoming free epick game)

I believe that Arthas will return to the living. Just look how blizzard has done in the past, Balnazzar came back to life. As did mal'ganis, Muradin Bronzebeard, Illidan was supposed to die at the frozen throne in Wc3. They have used Uther Lightbinger again. Blizzard have also used Saurfang and bolvar again after wrathgate. All important people have returned if they only have died once. See you soon, Arthas :)
If you think Arthas was ever bad you are dead wrong. At Stratholme, he purged the city. How isn't that evil you might ask? There was no good way out of it, he wasn't going to leave his people to join the Scourge against their will. Just because somehting is bad or sucks doesn't make it wrong. All of his evil acts happened after he got Frostmourne, which happened to be a cursed blade.
@linkrulz3 Arthas trapped his own men in Northrend by sinking his ships. He then blamed the mercenaries he hired for sinking the ships and killed them. Then nearly killed Muradin to obtain Frostmourne. All events before Frostmourne were all to try and selfishly kill Mal'ganis at all costs. I'd say he was bad.

I keep reading these comments about Bolvar's resurrection. Anyone ever consider that the dragon flames really did kill him and that he was simply reanimated? I mean it's not that far-fetched, Alexandros and Darion were both reanimated by the Scourge; as well as the Death Knights of Acherus.
Arthas wasnt the bad guy until he found out what was destroying his homeland. After he destroys Strathlome, he heads off to Northrend and finds Frostmourne. Frostmourne ate almost all of his soul and the original lich king influenced Arthas to continue being an ass.

He wanted to kill the infested people in Stratholm, without thinking other way, which not fit to a paladin, destroyed his men ship, to have army against Mal'Ganis, when he's father recalled them, and blindly take the Frostmourne's curse. He was a hero yes, but he was narrow minded, and wanted revenge (which also not fit to a paladin). And this exacly what the Lich King wanted.
im glad this happened, i finally have closure, all the original characters from the strategy game have had their own story arcs ended, now i can finally quit wow without wanting more.
hes bolvar fordrigan -former alliance hero and boss he was the guy who used to stand in SW with the prince until king varien came back-he fights at the wrathgate too

Easiest encounter? From what I've heard, the only harder encounter they've EVER had was the original C'thun fight.
And think about it. Who else would make sense if not Bolvar? Without a Lich King, you could very well see the Old Gods seize control of the Scourge, and if that happens, that's it. It's over. The world will be destroyed, the Old Gods will be free, will have devoured the Well of Eternity, and have waged such a terrible, galaxy spanning war that non-immortal life could not exist.
I thought that the well of eternity was destroyed in the sundering of kalimdor, or atleast thats what happens in the time line where things are getting messed up and nozdormu sends krasus and rhonin back in time.
Apparently 90% of wow players haven't played earlier warcraft games. Atleast you should've played Warcraft 3 and it's expansion, where you could've seen whole Arthas's long journey. Then you people would understand this a lot more and not just say "lol I looted stuff from LK"

Arthas was a great hero of his people, sadly with absolutely no support or trust by friends nor relatives, he had to stand alone in the fight against the scourge. His wish to save his homeland turned to desperation and reckless decisions which of course lead to his end when he was finally lead to Frostmourne.
daww is everyone sad that arthas died, he's just a villian i mean who cares, would be a terriable plot if they just made him the constant bad guy, would be like team rocket from pokémon. Still got other villians to look foward too like deathwing, azshara, what evers behind the emerald nightmare, kil'jaeden again and maybe sargeas :D

Ner'zhul is a shaman spirit and will never die, when bolvar put the helm on, bolvar spirit was attacked by ner'zhul's, but bolvar's spirit is stronger than ner'zhul, so bolvar is in full control of ner'zhul's spirit, bolvar is now the jailer of ner'zhul's spirit and the scourage
Its only a matter of time before that torment consumes Bolvar, though he's in control for the time being, sooner or later he is bound to lose that control and will become the new Tyrant, the New Lich King.
There is a Possibility there will be history of Illidan in the Cataclysm and possible Rezzerection of him... Also Arthas may have died but the next lich king will have to be distroyed along with the army next time.......
Illidan used to fight against Deathwing, I would love to see him comeback as a kick ass blind Nelf! He'd probably not be a demon anymore, but oh well.

in cataclysm blizz could do a quest like in the start area of deah knights
u do quests and the scenarios changes
so they could put quests where u do and the places plagued could be restored...
without the lich king there ius no need the have the plaguelands
and the alliance could restore andorhal, hearthglen, tyr hand and stratholme back to the alliance.

Deathwing has been one of my favorite characters since i started playing wow, But i think he is to powerfull for the game maybe look how fast he destroys azeroth, and probally hes fight is gonna be just like the lich king - god damn easy...

@TheGoofyFamily Blizzard really fucked shit up lol. Arthas was their main character in lore, powerful, or not. And they made him one of the most easiest encounters, It's really sad. Also the bullshit story line they came up with, Bolvar, seriously, he should've been dead I don't care if he was resurrected by some dragon flame, the dragon should've incinerated him, not bring him back to life. Another fail fore Blizzard I guess eh?

Easiest encounter? From what I've heard, the only harder encounter they've EVER had was the original C'thun fight.
And think about it. Who else would make sense if not Bolvar? Without a Lich King, you could very well see the Old Gods seize control of the Scourge, and if that happens, that's it. It's over. The world will be destroyed, the Old Gods will be free, will have devoured the Well of Eternity, and have waged such a terrible, galaxy spanning war that non-immortal life could not exist.

I thought that the well of eternity was destroyed in the sundering of kalimdor, or atleast thats what happens in the time line where things are getting messed up and nozdormu sends krasus and rhonin back in time.

Apparently 90% of wow players haven't played earlier warcraft games. Atleast you should've played Warcraft 3 and it's expansion, where you could've seen whole Arthas's long journey. Then you people would understand this a lot more and not just say "lol I looted stuff from LK"

Arthas was a great hero of his people, sadly with absolutely no support or trust by friends nor relatives, he had to stand alone in the fight against the scourge. His wish to save his homeland turned to desperation and reckless decisions which of course lead to his end when he was finally lead to Frostmourne.
Rest in peace Arthas.

Ner'zhul is a shaman spirit and will never die, when bolvar put the helm on, bolvar spirit was attacked by ner'zhul's, but bolvar's spirit is stronger than ner'zhul, so bolvar is in full control of ner'zhul's spirit, bolvar is now the jailer of ner'zhul's spirit and the scourage

There is a Possibility there will be history of Illidan in the Cataclysm and possible Rezzerection of him... Also Arthas may have died but the next lich king will have to be distroyed along with the army next time.......

I recon that Illidan and arthas (lich king) made a great impact in wow.but without them, its just not going to be the same.
Sure deathwing is awesome, but way too powerfull, its just too much (in my opinion)
