Ayers is a bogus issue, raised by McCain Republicans who can't defend their record.

Obama was asked by community leaders in Chicago to head a board that oversaw a large grant that Ayers won funding for.

Obama won the respect of his board and the Chicago community.

Ayers "was never a concern for any of us in the Chicago school reform movement" said Republican Rep. Diana Nelson, who worked with both Obama and Ayers. "It's ridiculous.
