Have you not seen the video of Nelson flat out beating Aqib Talib?? Sure, his 40 is not the best for a WR, but he's a great route runner and a big target. He'll fit in perfectly in the Packers' West Coast Offense.
Nelson and Welker have two different skill sets. Welker is more quick than fast, and is tough but small with hands of glue. Jordy is not AS quick and a little faster when it comes to running straight. He is also 6'3 217 pounds and a tough tall physical receiver that can go across the middle or beat someone man on man. He also has hands of glue. both are great

Aqib Talib couldn't even remotely hang with this kid, it wasn't one play. Jordy caught 10 passes for 137 yards and a TD. In fantasy football terms, he had a career day for some WRs, but a average one for himself that season.
jordy could be ahead of jones on the depth chart by the end of the season. jones is good, but there is a reason nelson was taken at the top of the 2nd and james jones was taken in the mid 3rd. nelson is more talented. whether it translates to the nfl field is anyone's guess, but i definitely think nelson jordy has a chance. they both have excellent hands, but nelson is bigger, faster, and better after the catch.

because he was drafted to a team that already had great receivers, Donald Driver, Greg Jennings and James Jones locked in ahead of him before he stepped into training camp, which doesnt make any sense, if he had gone to a team that needed a starting receiver he wouldve probably gotten close to the 1,000 yard receiving mark, but he was stuck as a 4th receiver and still got 33 catches for 366 yards which isnt bad for a rookie 4th option

Jordy Nelson ended his first NFL season with 0 dropped passes and he was praised for his great route running and ability to make people miss with great moves. Nelson is already faster than Rice ever was and his hands are just as good.

Wow Great vid, Nelson's a beast. Great song. All you ppl who say that he's not fast sound really studpid. He has all the prerequisits needed to be an elite football player now a days. Actually, even though comparing him to Jerry Rice may sound crazy right now but when you break it down they are fairly similar. 1.)Neither has elite speed but has the capability of breaking the long one to the house.
2.) Both have superior hands. Jordy already has the best hands on GB which includes Jennings, Driver,& Jones. 3.) They're great route runners. Even though Jordy doesn't run a 4.3 40 yd dash hefinds ways to get open like Rice. Plus, Jordy has more power and range than Rice ever had.

Nelson and Welker have two different skill sets. Welker is more quick than fast, and is tough but small with hands of glue. Jordy is not AS quick and a little faster when it comes to running straight. He is also 6'3 217 pounds and a tough tall physical receiver that can go across the middle or beat someone man on man. He also has hands of glue. both are great

the packers have always liked to draft receivers with return ability because it means that they usually will have good run after catch ability. (antonio freeman, robert brooks, terrence murphy, greg jennings, james jones) if jordy becomes our return man, it's just a bonus, but they drafted him as a receiver. he's a good returner, but it's not like he's devin hester or anything close.

jordy nelson was a great receiver for k-state, but i think it is just stupid to compare people like that. i only made that comment because i was watching a video saying jordy nelson is the next jerry rice. had it been a different receiver, i would have said the same thing.

Aqib Talib couldn't even remotely hang with this kid, it wasn't one play. Jordy caught 10 passes for 137 yards and a TD. In fantasy football terms, he had a career day for some WRs, but a average one for himself that season.

jordy could be ahead of jones on the depth chart by the end of the season. jones is good, but there is a reason nelson was taken at the top of the 2nd and james jones was taken in the mid 3rd. nelson is more talented. whether it translates to the nfl field is anyone's guess, but i definitely think nelson jordy has a chance. they both have excellent hands, but nelson is bigger, faster, and better after the catch.

Theres no way he's comin out of camp as the number 3 after Jones played so well last year, fitting the offensive scheme perfectly. Rodgers like throwing the quick slant to the inside (as evident in the cowboys game) and thats what Jones did the entire last season. Packers do like to run the 5 wide set with Lee, and Jennings, Jones, and Nelson have a huge deep threat with them.
Packers are gonna be smokin', and now pig-tailed-viking, pansy-az-lion, or shlt-nosed bear can stop em.
