  • Une version absolument fantastique. Merci.

  • Fantastic !! :-)

    **********

  • Супер! Песня на все времена! The super! A song of all times!

  • Watched this a thousand times and just realized that there are no drums :).

  • @wolfjeismylovelycat Except for the fact that there is definitely drums being used throughout the song. Wow...

  • I LOVE THESE GUYS

  • Good to the last note.

Greatest version of one of the 10 best rock classics

If this version lasts 100 years, we are already 47 years down the path...

'In the year 2525' they will be still listening to this version and man maybe still be alive

  • @pornguy2 You got that all wrong. The year is backwards, they'll still be listening to this in 5252.

  • Очень хорошая песня.

  • Getting up early in the morning and find good feeling back to the Animals.

  • this may sound weird but Eric was kinda hot lol

  • Great song. Music is just not the same anymore if you can call a lot of the noise today music.

  • You guys are BEAUTIFUL!

  • you guys are beautiful!! <3 <3

  • you guys are beautiful !! <3 <3

  • this is the song im learning to play! this is a great inspiration!

  • this may just be me.. but i think the song sounds better when a girl sings it..

  • Yes, je ve ke cette Music reste en boucle toute une éternité pour pouvoir la savouré pleinement.

  • But they all look the same XD

  • This song is great!

  • Wonder what happened to them..

  • i have hear this song by y name is earl in season 2

  • Guitarist looks like a major creeper at the end of this song

  • what i dont understand is..when people look up a song, such as this, and they go to this link..yet they give it a thumbs down...i mean this IS the house of the risnig sun by ~the animals, whats not to like? it LITERALLY cant get any better, because this IS the song. i hate when i look up songs and i see they get thumbs down, mp3's and other things such as this should get only thumbs up

    just sayin'

  • To wear that ball and chain. Wait, on the brain, cause your lame, you need to be tamed, cause you make me ashamed, so please stop being a pain before your potty trained. In a gold clad baby shoe video, lol. So like that other old song, "Turn out the lights", Please Already, I'm not paying your electric bills. Please copy and paste to show your teachers down in the hollow out tree along the river. Life is good.

  • *****

  • 106,000 views?? Thought it would be 10 million. Classic song.

  • mmmmmmmmmmm, eargasim!

  • song is good old song make a good song

  • At some point during 1964 I went to see the Animals on one of the UK tour packages. I think the venue was the Woolwich Granada. The group had had a couple of respectable hits out by then, but were still largely unknown. At the end of the set, Eric Burdon announced that their next release would be House of the Rising Sun, and with the stage bathed in red light they performed what would be one of the defining tracks in rock 'n' roll history. At the age of 63, the memory is still utterly vivid.

  • @patpong2road Ive got chills, must have been EPIC!

  • One of my favorite songs of the 60's - SOOOO cool to see them perform it here - Awesome upload

  • perfect version

  • All of a sudden I got the urge for some weed.

  • That organ's on fire!

  • why cant this sort of music still be alive today??? all thats here now is Justin Bieieber, JLS, dizzee whatsits face and lady gaga. life is depressing >:(

  • @Sprazzler

Interestingly enough Eric Burden heard some original black soul music and became inspired by it, then joined this band and sung in a similar kind of style. Nowadays it's hard to be inspired by modern music! Yes I too wish that music still existed today, unfortunately the fat cat record companies are the ones to blame, talented musicians still exist but it's very hard for them to get a record deal. Though maybe one day eh ;)

  • Semplicemente stupenda

  • find Dylan's version better...

  • the Animals really rocked back in the 60's...I loved every minute of it...this video rocks!!Eric's voice was great but lately he embarrases himself when he sings...must need the money

  • great song. Love Eric and the Animals

  • You guys seriously need to stop posting negative comment on this beatiful song!!! if you hate it so much and you think there is something wrong with it then go watch something else! you people need to grow up and get a life because this song and the band members are awesome the way they are so leave this song alone the way it is or you'll regret it!! what if people said shit about YOU? huh? yea i mean it! =.=THIS SONG IS BEAUTIFUL AND EXPLAINS HALF OF MY LIFE BEAITUFULLY EXCELENT!!!

  • @freakmaxaii116 i dont see any negative comments...

  • there is a very odd version of this but i think its the sort of thing they'd have in a futuristic cowboy movie and its covered by muse :')

  • he looks tired

  • It's actually a very old song. There are recordings of it as far back as the 1930s and the song itself might be much older than that. No one even knows for sure who wrote it.

  • If the singer actually acted like he was singing, this video would be so much better.

  • 6 ppl mmust not have good taste in music

  • omg.... i wouldnt of pictured a guy that small with that deep voice

  • the singer looks emo

    but this song is awsome

  • This is just one of those songs that goes on forever! And why not.

    A great song.

  • HELLS ANGELS FOREVER!!

  • @plaxhazor Why's it necessary to compare everything to Lady Gaga? I was raised on this song and Eric Burdon, and I love Lady Gaga. It's like comparing seafood with steak. Some like one or the other, some people like both, some people like the other, get over it, because your way isn't the only way. Music goes to show that.

  • 100 years from now, folks will be listening to this song. Five stars.

  • @LEOPARDTWO I exactly will be listen this song ) Because I will be around 60 years old ) and now I really love "Дом восходящего солнца" ^^

  • @LEOPARDTWO Yes, it will as it passes right to the marrow..pierces the soul like nothing else and through all obfuscation in a timeless way!

  • @LEOPARDTWO Yeah, most people don't even know this song is already over 150 years old..... it goes way way back !

  • Ecstacy

  • Omg, Eric Burdon looks like a teen and he could sing like THAT! WOw, speechless.

  • ofc fantasticcc

  • Why can't I have a voice like him

    :(

  • Fucking orgasmic!!!

  • You know I enjoy the HD video of this song, but I love the fact that this video is louder. I can't stand when great songs are hampered by the fact that the video is too quiet!

  • вечный хит!!!

  • Lern ich grad auf der Gittare ned leicht!

  • the truth is none of the mass produced bullshit we got today comes anywhere close to the power, passion and quality these guys had. More talent in their little finger nail than justin fuckin beiber and lady bloody gaga will ever have

  • @rob191270

thats one of the best comments i have ever read!

    greetings from germany

  • look at the middle guys face at 3:44... HILARIOUS‼‼‼‼

OGNUNO HA IL SUO TALENTO, JAMES BURTON AVEVA UNA GRANDISSIMA VOCE!!

  • Shit!! Are you kidding? The lead vocal is a frick'in monster. Fantastic. If only I could sing like that......

  • Why is that guy at the end laughing?? Its not the first time he laughs while playing...its kinda funny.

  • The singer isn't great... the guitars are not spectacular... but that organ player is flipping amazing.

  • He is a kid. His voice comes from somewhere else.

  • @MrBigRoooster fuck yo self

  • Nice old song

  • Fuck Man Xk No Naci En Los 60s?!?!?!?!?!?1

  • Many of my memories from the Summer of '64 have this song in the background!

  • classic

many have tried to remake this song but just cant measure up to them PURE classic

  • i remember got a keyboard for my christmas about 13 years ago or so. it had the tune of this song. i never learned to play the keyboard, but i've loved this song since then. it's fantastic :)

  • old but good

  • The intensity of the Animals is what makes this THE version of "House of the Rising Sun". They play and sing this as if they mean it and lived it. And as many others have noted, the simplicity of this video makes it all the more intense. Very powerful version that has and will always stand the test of time.

  • @glnelson1956 Couldn't agree more. They really seem to FEEL the song, much more than any other. Even in this video, the look in his eyes... haunting (in a good way, exactly what the song calls for).

  • Great but simple song, love playing the organ part!

  • You wouldn't mess with Eric Bourdon---talk about intense !

  • @Nickalicker thats all i could think of whenever i here this song

  • Not to mention but Chas Chandler found Jimi Hendrix and made him a fuckin legend, after the Animals had already obtained that status

  • This is the best fuckin version of this song hands down and if anyone says different doesn't know good music when they hear it

  • Una obra maestra! :).

  • i agree nickalicker wen i pop mi clogs i want this tune

  • KOOL l:D

  • The man has an incredible voice, and yes, they were so young.

  • i think the singer is cute for some reason haha

  • this cover.....sorry

  • this song would make leadbelly proud

  • É a versão mais bonita dessa música linda.Esse Eric Burdon canta demais .

  • @CHICO542 I tend to hear things how I hear them~ but thanks... now I will hear it how it was meant to be... :)

  • oh mother... tell your children, not to do what I have done... spend your life in sincere misery... in the house of the rising sun.

  • its the origanal i wana stab you give me your adress

  • I know this song from a cover by Evereve....but this version sure ain't bad either.

  • Does anybody know that this was the first #1 hit in the US to top 4 minutes in length back in 1964!

  • Simply Timeless!

  • after all those years,

    it pretty GOOD ..

  • i personally like bob dylans version over this one, this one however has some of the lyrics changed and i like the lyrics in this song better. there perfect

  • This is one of the greatest songs of all time, and an incredible video as well. The power of the simplicity involved is just genius, and the intensity in the parts walking toward the camera around the drums and keyboard is staggering. The last chorus is made just a touch creepier as the guitar gives that grin from behind the brooding stare of the vocalist. If only people made them like this still, focusing on the music and not on scenery, pyrotechnics, and special effects hair and makeup.

  • Well said,, A music video well before it's Time.

  • @RomanoGiovanni fully agree my man, that is exactly right, genius is simplicity

  • plain and simple = awesome !! :))

  • i love this music video :)

  • i wish music videos were still like this

  • wrong you are wrong i tell you

  • wow how young were they?? they were rlly talented, i love that song! this will stay a classic forever

  • a beautiful song!!!

  • This song is absolutely amazing. Love it.

  • Nobody knows who sang it first - it is an old folk song. But Dylan recorded his before the Animals. They have said they were influenced by his version. Check out some of the earlier versions (Josh White, Leadbelly, Woody Guthrie, etc.)

  • right you are right i tell you

  • eric burdon :)

  • Lead singer has a crazy voice. AND look!

  • Love it....Brings out the "animal" in me!

  • wonderful song i love it

  • Singer looks like a kid..
