@christynrachandbri never once did jesus tell someone to follow him or they will burn in hell or even go to hell. He showed kindness to them and wanted to love on them thats what set him apart to other people and caught there eye. He did wonderful things and showed his unstoppable love to everyone and people followed because of that not because of they were going to hell if they didnt. That isnt love thats fear.
Guys telling people that they will go to hell if they dont accept Jesus into there hearts is not a good way to help people get saved. You cant scare people into love... God bless.

@30Jontheweb How can you say that? God is love (1 John 4:8). God cannot deny Himself. Therefore, if He didn't love us more than the sun and the stars, it would be contrary to His very nature. What makes you think that I don't know Jesus? God is more than a set of rules. If that were the case, no one could know Jesus. We've all sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23). However, whenever we were still sinners, and enemies of God, Jesus Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). That's the love of God.
I'm sure you are all fervent believers in christianity, but no matter how fervently you believe it does not give you the right to imposse those beliefs on someone else. I watched this video, and was shocked to find comments about Homosexuality. Because truth is, homosexual or not... God will always love us: Unconditionally. That doesn't mean I'm defending it though, because regardless, homosexuality IS a sin. I'm not giving excuses - but Jesus said "Judge not, lest you be judged! Condemn not, lest you be condemned!" And the very ones that were looking down on people were the ones that Jesus was most critical of.
True, we must embrace the Bible as truth, and true, there are parts that condemn homosexual behavior. But we must ask ourselves why Jesus didn't focus on this sin. In fact, He didn't even mention it. The biggest sin to Him was pride, and those who condemned the "sinners", especially when the Bible points out that we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.
Paul says greed is idolatry, but many Christians today say it is ok to have a bunch of stuff. Think about it!

The content of the Bible could literally have been the bible writers being inspired by God hence being open to human error consequently the Bible is not infallable. There's many things in the Bible like the stoning of adulterous people and the condemnation of homosexuality that merely reflect the time period and culture of the time that the writers were writing in. It may give them (us) a sense of control or power, but it is very temporary...and soon they (we) must hurt again, so that they (we) can keep from focusing on their (our) own emptiness.

What makes you think that I don't know Jesus? God is more than a set of rules. If that were the case, no one could know Jesus. We've all sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23). However, whenever we were still sinners, and enemies of God, Jesus Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). That's the love of God.

I'm sure you are all fervent believers in christianity, but no matter how fervently you believe it does not give you the right to imposse those beliefs on someone else. I just like this song and religion to me is like a peice of art, like a painting or movie or a really good book. I consider myself more fulfilled for knowing it and maybe I draw some lessons in it, but tacking it as a whole is just stupid.

I watched this video, and was shocked to find comments about Homosexuality. Because truth is, homosexual or not... God will always love us: Unconditionally. That doesn't mean I'm defending it though, because regardless, homosexuality IS a sin. It also doesn't mean I hate them either, because infact, if a gay man were being prosecuted for that choice, I'd defend him undoubtedly. Homosexuality is wrong, attacking those who choose it is worse, as well as attacking Christians who don't support it.

In fact, he killed many of the very ethnicity from which Christianity originates. Women were taken from man's rib. However, that is not a reason to discriminate. @AKdrown : Technically, simply BEING gay isn't a sin. The sin lies in homosexual BEHAVIOR. They are two different things, and that is why it is crucial that we Christians be extremely careful to interpret Scripture properly. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that BEING gay is a sin. Specifically, it says do not LIE with a man as one LIES with a woman. The context implies an action, not a feeling.

So in Gods eyes if you lie then you are just as bad as a homosexual person or a murderer. This is why i choose to believe that even if someone is homosexual then if they truely believe Jesus died on the cross and came again then you will be saved and still go to heaven.

True, we must embrace the Bible as truth, and true, there are parts that condemn homosexual behavior. But we must ask ourselves why Jesus didn't focus on this sin. In fact, He didn't even mention it. The biggest sin to Him was pride, and those who condemned the "sinners", especially when the Bible points out that we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.
Paul says greed is idolatry, but many Christians today say it is ok to have a bunch of stuff. Think about it!

@chabjb Remember, Jesus is God, the bible is the word of God, so what the bible says about homosexuality ARE Jesus words. Jesus biggest criticism was towards hypocrisy, especially those who were saying they loved and served God, but desecrate His name by their behavior. (Read John 2)
You also equate having a "bunch of stuff" to greed. Greed is in one's heart. You don't have to have a bunch of stuff to be greedy, just a love of money that is greater than your love of the Lord.

The content of the Bible could literally have been the bible writers being inspired by God hence being open to human error consequently the Bible is not infallable. There's many things in the Bible like the stoning of adulterous people and the condemnation of homosexuality that merely reflect the time period and culture of the time that the writers were writing in. Think about it.

@fruitytown You are wrong about that. John's Gospel is an eye-witness account from start to finish. It could be considered an official testimony in courts today. Jesus even confirmed the cannon of Scripture by quoting from most of the Old Testament books. That means that these are reliable, too. Heaven and earth will pass away, but God's Word won't (Jesus' words, not mine.) (Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33). There is not 1 word in 1000 in the Bible that is seriously challenged by literary critics.

@fruitytown God is holy. Sin is a counterfeit for holiness. Therefore, anything apart from God is unholy, and therefore sinful. God can forgive anyone He wants to. God said that homosexuality is wrong. Therefore it is. To step outside of that is to become unholy, and therefore sinful. Sin CAN be forgiven, but only through Christ. Homosexuality is no more a sin than a lie. God equates all sin with murder. It is not hate to follow Jesus. It is hate to step outside of God's Word.
