  • Perfect marching and synchronicity, but those pseudo-heroic eulogies are simply weird and ridiculous! :D

  • wtf is a black guy doing in nk?

  • vintage 1940's/cold war military equipment vs Untied States and NATO 2012 technology warfare.....hmmmmmmm...march all you want to. Please do use a nuke...ill take a line out of "300" and twist it.." A thousand nations of the UN will rain upon youuuuuuuuu"

  • @bamajc13 America has nothing but an oversised military, their economy is only on bought time.

  • @Wolfe2469 We have a over sized military? HA! Were not the communist nation that makes every man 18+join the military in order to have a decent life (the BASIC needs of a human life...food being number one). Im not saying that we would invade NK, all im saying is that if they shoot a nuke at one of our Allied countries hell is going to break loose. Which would most likely spark WW3. How can you sit there and say the US has a over sized military? Please, do make your argument. Im waiting to hear

  • @bamajc13 North Korea just wants to be left a lone. I have no respect for the united states and I believe it hasn't been respectable for over 40 years. It not your place to force your ideology on others. America is a spent force. You are going to collapse and I'm looking forward to it. North Korea isn't invading other countries and murdering thousands of civilians, and neither is China and Russia. What made America great has been forgotten and now it has debt which will never be repaid.

  • @bamajc13 The UN and the USA are the antagonists. How many countries has North Korea invaded recently? Less than America and its fascist puppet UN. The North Koreans aren't murdering thousands of people a year in countries that its people know next to nothing about. North Korea's supposedly "evil" according to American propaganda just due simply to the fact it doesn't share american ideology. America needs to realise the cold war is over (which was politcal bs to begin with)

  • @Wolfe2469 North Korea doesnt have to invade a country, or murder other country's people. They are depriving there own people of basic needs , power, food, a CHOICE. They are murdering there own people by having one of the largest starvation rates in the world. How is that not "evil"? Im not saying we would invade this country to share our own ideology, it wouldnt be worth the economic slam it would bring to us. Im not saying the cold war is still going on. My post was not intended on starting

  • @bamajc13 a political argument. But if you sit there and say its ok to have one of the largest military's in the world but not deliver electricity to your own people and food then you need a reality check.

  • ning ning dung dung ming ming, lol. xD

  • this isn't the 2011 parade....

  • いいですね。。!!!

  • at 3:21 theres white people in the audience wtf?? anyone care to explain??

  • @TheCannabisIndica I've been to a North Korea parade when I worked over there. They can either be of - Red Cross International Commitee or working as English teachers over there (which I was) or be in Embassies such as the British or Danish. Or part of the KFA (Korean Friendship Assocoation)

  • Complete waste of people. 5 million man army, with no tanks, a handful of 1950s Russian jets, a Navy of some transport rafts and speedboats.

  • @MrStig691 North Korea actually operates ~ 5,400 tanks, and thats the south korean estimate, however they only parade them at the major anniversaries as a cost-saving measure. See the 10 October, 2010 Parade. Thier Airforce has 1,700 Aircraft, of which ~500 are Fighters and ~150 (MiG-21bis, MiG-23ML, and MiG-29) are actually rather modern. Thier Navy Actually has very few transports, posesses the worlds largest submarine fleet, and has over 700 combat vessels.

  • vive l'agerie

  • i hate NORTH KOREA only because their leadership

  • Any country that goose steps is not a good country.

  • @shoa31

    Your comment is senseless...

  • @shoa31 wtf

  • Try as they might, only us British can do pomp and ceremony. This looks good because of the number of idiots marching, but these men and women have no choice, no decisions and no freedom in NK. Plus their march looks stupid as fuck.

  • @kelzo1234 you british bullshit

  • @superretro2012 Your statement/insult doesn't even make sense you uneducated gimp.

  • 8======D

  • Los rusos de 1941 tambien eran muy valientes y eran cientos de miles, pero cuando aparecio por La Doga la Legion Azul española, dijeron que nunca encontraron rivales tan valerosos con tan pocos medios.

    CORA ES CULPABLE

  • at 29:18 he kind of reminds me of KFC guy

  • LOL 50:30 person from the free world :O (a woman)

  • Does anyone know what the song is called when the Great Leader appears at 7:54 ? It is played at most of their parade when he arrives, but I can't find any references to it. I've seen it played when President Kim Il-Sung arrived at events too.

  • @Wahidfelty The song is called 'Welcome the Leader', I was looking for it for the longest time and found it 2 months ago. Here's the link! :) /watch?v=zN-kbGpW0-E

  • @leshittalker23 Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!

  • @Wahidfelty Its "Welcome the Leader" sort've thier equivelant to "Hail to the Chief" if you would like to find it on youtube search "dprk welcome the leader'

  • @SouthernMilitaryGuru Thank you! It's kind of catchy. I've heard them sing it for Kim Il-Sung on documentaries but the name's always eluded me. Thank you again!

  • hardline commie crap. tough nut to break.

  • red kings and princes of the hermit Kingdom of northern Korea, with the unlucky destiny to be stuck between the Chinese and American Empires.

  • haha, i like the way the commentator speaks.

  • stupid parade, all starving

  • El sueño de Chavez

  • This stupid parades are too expensive for an already devastated economy. Besides, it won't teach the soldiers how to fight, but only to march.

  • 5:25 A black man in North Korea? HIDE YO KIDS HIDE YO WIFE HIDE YO HUSBANDS

  • @JoYac26 prob sum african ambassador

  • IL TAKE THEM EASY

  • I wish NATO lifted their trading ban for 10 minutes so that Japan could sell Korean television a HD camera. That would look awesome in HD.

  • @lioshenka

    lol

  • @lioshenka The cameras used, do film HD-like quality. It's just that they can't send it in HD to the televisions.

  • Kim Jong Il never spoke, only once did he speak for about five seconds. Maybe he was not the great leader we all thought he was. Maybe he was a tool of the ruling generals who rule North Korea since 1994. Remember Kim Jong Il was raised in that Stalinist caste since 1942. He did not have a western education and was born to be the next Stalinist leader. It is possible that he was made to look like he was in charge. Kim Jong Un could also be just another puppet of the ruling generals.

  • They goosestep better than the Germans.

  • 42.20: is that NK military hip-hop exhortations I hear? It does ryhme.

  • Something happens at 9.07 - collapsing camera or someone faints. Another one for the Gulag..

  • cant they afford a better camera???

  • Kim Jong Il was clearly quite ill here. He had been since a reported 2008 stroke. His son Kim Jong Un can be seen by his father, he has a striking resemblance to his grandfather and Kim Jong Il's father, Kim Il Sung. We know little about him, but safe to say the country's powerful military will probably be running the show for awhile now.

  • Looks like it was filmed in 1970

  • @tylertyler82 THEY FILM WITH 35MM FILM TO GIVE IT THAT LOOK THEY DO HAVE HD CAMERAS BUT PREFERRED THE OLD LOOK.

  • This is the most amazing thing I have seen humans do collectively- I could watch this all day long

  • If you look closely at 52:42 you can see me in row 354, 872 people from the right! I'm waving.

  • 240p we meet again

  • any chance for a translation or something?

  • I really wish these videos had English subtitles...

  • I wonder what happens when one of them marches out of place....

  • @Ginandpop2 haha they beat the crap outta him

  • @Ginandpop2 , that subject would be shot and the family of that subject go into a military camp

  • Gotta hand it to them, those guys can march hehe.

  • surrend communists U have lost.

  • did I really see a battle tractor towing rockets? lol

  • At 36:17---Wearing Red Cross armbands AND carrying weapons.

  • @shop99er They are medical personnel

  • @shop99er Aren't medics supposed to be able to defend themselves in a combat situation?

  • @shop99er That's so they can get close to the enemy without getting shot at, and then they shoot. It usually works well, ONCE!

  • @shop99er It's not "Red Cross" Clearly you don't know much about the military to tell that the cross symbolises "Medic"

  • @shop99er it's very common. In the army, medics carry weapons in all over the world. Including US, EU etc military medics. Don't fall for the wrong propaganda. There are worse things going on in North Korea than a military medic having his rifle arm. Think my friend...think

  • @shop99er most medics today carry weapons....

  • @shop99er This is because they are medical combat armywomen

  • @shop99er

    sooo what???

  • @shop99er under the Geneva Convention, all those in the medical branch(es) of the armed forces are required to carry weapons for the sake of defending their wounded. This includes doctors, nurses, and medics.

  • also what is the background to this perade? I assume it's meant to introduce Kim-Jong-un into the life he'll be expected to preside over as the next autocrat. But is there some banel, religous (kimilsung/jongilism thing) behind it as well?

  • note the distnict lack of people there (apart from the elite of the KWP, Kim, his general's, probably members of the NDC - national defense council and the soldiers)...this is empty theatre at it's best.

  • kim jong il's son looks like he has down syndrome...'o.O

  • I wonder how much soldiers are in this thing ?

  • Ahh! the latest in 1960's Soviet technology!

  • he could at least say something wtf .--- XD and he call himself leader

  • how many hooray's do they have to say until they realize that theres nothing exciting about kim jong il and nobody likes him?

  • it looks like their forming a human crop circle to show the aliens where to land

  • They certainly are a bouncy bunch...

  • Exactly like Nazi Germany, except the soldiers looked much better, healtier and stronger.

  • I HATE KIM JONG IL!

    BUT THIS PARADE IS NO.1!

KOREAN IS VERY STRONG! KOREA FOREVER!!!

  • Comment removed

  • 2:26 The three guys on the bottom right of the screen - the guy (w/the NK flag) in the middle screwed up momentarily in his marching! He had to scramble to keep up for a second

  • @dgc325 Oh.. that colour guard should improve its marching.

  • The troops marching starts at 28:41 ;-)

  • @CookiesAndGuns95 The ones on parade are Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the KPA Young Red Guards Cadet Corps.

  • ha ha, they walk funny.

  • bartle baggum?
