  • This would b a nice video has u done it slower so we can actually read the words u provided for us

  • at 0:48 how are people supposed to read that! Ok, I'm dyslexic and I can't read most thing on videos, but that was way too short. I could barely pause the video in time!

  • VOILA its now UGLY enjoy your tank

  • @harrygats Who cares? That's not his main tank, it's clearly just a nursery tank, dumbass.

  • @JohnWoo hahaha i dont care its still ugly

  • hi i just made a diy co2 system could you see if its ok check my vids

  • Beautiful tank, Dude! Or no, wait, What you've got there is screwed up.

  • Why would you even by that tank? Let alone put all that stuff in it, there is hardly room for fish. Haha.

  • thetextgoestoofast

  • Congratulations for this video.

  • you can also make bombs like this Yeast+ Glass bottle + some warm fruit juice + tight lid= BOOM. Glass grenade

  • This is by far NOT the best way to prepare a diy system. 60-70% of the yeast is being destroyed by this method because of the mixing and the hot solution. Then VOILA, the worst diffuser known to mankind! C'mon.

  • @exv152 Your so stupid! He clearly states "Mix the dried yeast with a little lukewarm sugar solution in a small cup (never pour boiling solution, it will kill the yeast) " Learn to read!

  • @Josh40996 ..."your" or "you're", which one do you mean? who can't write english? who's stupid now? time to go back to school josh!

  • @exv152 lol im still in school =P

  • @Josh40996 ...then don't be calling strangers stupid, and learn proper grammar

  • @exv152 well then don't be saying that his method is the worst method ever because the yeast is being destroyed by hot water when he stated not to use hot water... end of.

  • @Josh40996 ...enough bratty little school child, isn't it your bedtime?

  • @exv152 Bratty??? Even though you go round, correcting people's information, then when someone corrects the "Correction" you made, you don't like it and start going on at every thing. Sounds like someone needs to calm down and grow up!

  • @exv152 Also "Isn't it or "Is it not" which one do you mean? Who can't punctuate their sentences? Learn proper grammar. Time to go back to school!

  • @Josh40996 ...haha you're practically retarded, you don't know what isn't it means? hahahahaha

  • @exv152 yeah i know what you mean, just like you knew what i meant by your, "isn't it" means "is not it" which doesn't make sense. P.s stop arguing with a 15 year old over youtube about spelling and go grow up!

  • @Josh40996 ...listen," isn't it" is not grammatically incorrect, so you have no point...are you American by any chance? because that would explain your lack of grammar.

  • you stupid...boiling water will kiill most of the yeast~~~use warm

    32degrees...optimum temp

  • @pro194757 Your so stupid! He clearly states "Mix the dried yeast with a little lukewarm sugar solution in a small cup (never pour boiling solution, it will kill the yeast) " Learn to read! And you called him stupid?!

  • so what dus a Co2 defuser actually do ?

  • add rotten potato (or anything else) , destilate it & U will have a quite good alco % ;D (we call it Bimber)

  • @sred112 yeast + sugar = reaction. reaction inside a closed environment = reactor?

  • Hi mate ive set up a diy co2 bottle yeast sugar mix working ok going into a shop brought raektor cup. Thing is i need to keep taking out co2 mix from bottle as its keep fermenting very closr to bottle top and dont want co2 mix to get into tank any susgestions?

  • Works decent; too bad you have a chunk of wood taking up half of your tank now.

  • even those bubbles are too fast. add a valve and turn it down.

  • hahahahah ur tank is fuked

  • How much did you pay for your tank?

  • i did what you said but when i put the tube into the water only a few bubbles come out :( i leave it over night and still there are few bubbles.. its air tight... should i use more yeast or sugar? or do i just suck at this...

  • keep it warmer is usually the way to speed it up, depends on the type of yeast though, if you can keep it at about18c then you should be fine.

  • @RandomlyThoughtOut

only a few bubbles should come out a second

  • @RandomlyThoughtOut that means its working only a few bubbles are suposed to come out at a time

  • great idea with condiment bottle !

  • i don't know about yall but i can't read that damn fast lol had to pause it a lot

  • I think you all are very rude! aquarist91 took his time to produce a video to help you guys and all you can do is pick faults.

If your having problems keeping up use the pause button..... its not difficult.

Anyway I learnt something from this video and would like to thank aquarist91 for helping :)

  • even some one else had to pause each time, because you fricken made it go by to fast. What grade are you in???and your the dumb ass. you fucking gay piece of shit...

  • Good intention but I had to feeze the screen many times so I can read.

  • ok, wheres the air pump...

  • whats the purpose of that little tank?

  • can you make a fuckin better movie next time, we cant read that fast. maybe you can but others cant, redo the movie...

  • what a bitch are you Beth my ex wife

  • Maybe you shouldn't of dropped out of the third grade. Don't worry. I typed slow because I know you can't read fast.

  • once again, your an idiot, and what grade are you in???basically, you just cant make movies, thts all there is to it.

  • get a education u dum ass i read it just fine

  • thanks for postin

  • it's a good idea but it looks like crap to be honest. maybe you should keep the concept but try to house it better.

  • how much did the co2 reactor stay before he be neutral

  • the tunes might kill your fish

  • You want to use luke warm water, not hot. Too hot and you will kill the yeast.

  • @drewpoland - its not hot by the time the yeast goes in. the hot water is for the sugar

  • infact i would strongley disregard the air stone idea(co2 and air stones are BAD for fish) as they tend to crumbile apart after just a month. go all over the tank and are SHARP bits tha fish can hurt themself on!! wooden air stones like sanders 1-10 are brilliant less than a pound last 6 months. carnt beat that mate

  • if you go to a brewery supply house... you can get an all stainless steel airstone... Brewers use it to aerate their beer with O2...

  • i suggest u do some research before posting

  • I was wondering what you used around the roots of the plants in that tank? It looks like cotton or maybe fabric batting. The plants look very healthy. I use a DIY CO2 generator but I use a CO2 diffuser that I got from eBay.

  • Theres not fish in dumbass its plant tank

  • Nice. I like the "mini" size.

  • i haven't got a airstone so i put the end of the tube going into the water against my filter intake.. so the bubbles get sucked into my external canister then back out through the filter output. is this a good method or should i just get an airstone?

  • it doesn't have to be a airstone, it could be a co2 diffuser/reactor btw take out ur air pump if you have lot of plants

  • matickidd: It is a much better and effective method then using an airstone. I do the same thing and let my filter distribute the co2.

  • You should really get an air stone or come check out my video I got one on a project that similar to this on, cause they way that your explaining this doesn't sound right.

  • sorry but i cant read at the speed of light.

    rating = 1

  • Thats funny shit and exactly what I was thinking. Not only that though the fish tank is so uuugly

  • it's obvious this is some sort of grow out /extra tank. There is no substrate or anything, just plants, tank, light and CO2. Not meant to be pretty *rolls eyes*

  • its a good CO2 generator but your reactor sucks. you need to add a powerhead and a cup to stir the bubbles in the water so thatway your not losing so much CO2.

how often do you have to put more stuff in the generator?

  • People are retarded...This IS a reactor. A diffuser is what disperses the CO2

  • No, a GENERATOR is what creates the CO2. A reactor is an external unit that mixes CO2 bubbles with air, and is one of the many options for diffusing CO2.

A diffusER is a method of dispersing CO2 directly into the aquarium, whereas a reactor is external and mixes them together.

This is neither, it is a generator.

Therefore I conclude that YOU are retarded.

  • cool im gonna make one

  • Great video for someone to get started with!

ps-don't listen to all the haters!

  • I think its just an example to show us.. That guy just wanna share with us bout this tutorial, so don't just drop the unthinkable comment.. B a generous person k..

  • lame

  • should i put a sponge or limewood at the tube or just let the bubbles go inside the tank

  • u want the bubbles to be as small as possible for the best diffusion or there would be no absorption and there would be no result, so a sponge would be better than nothing

  • Tip: Add a teaspoon of baking soda to prevent foaming and the white slime that can clog your air-stone. Boiling the water is not nessesary. Water should room temp, so you can set up faster. It's going to cool to room temp anyway. Yeast will activate in 1hrs time and start bubbling..

Great video & music. BOOOO to all the negitive people and comments...where's there video's? Later

  • This isn't a reactor.

A reactor in either inline or outside the tank, it is a method of diffusion that brings water through a tube, often filled with coarse media, to diffuse CO2 into the water and disperse it through the tank better than any airstone ever could.

What this is a a "Yeast Generator", and nothing more.

  • ahaha all the equipment is bigger than the tank

  • lololol piece of shit, its as though im looking at a cup of water with a piece of shit in it.

+ the co2 is just bubling to the surface and not into the water fucktard

  • Really poor setup

  • another jack ass the reactor is wasting jugs of c02 and the tank dont look like a tank it looks like a mini junk yard that flooded

  • That's what I was thinking. looks like shit, wasting CO2 and is a very poor design...

Looks like a bunch of people who know nothing about CO2 injection rated this video 4 stars?!

  • hahaha i agree, all of the equipment running the tank is about 3 times larger than the actual aquarium, plus it looks like crap.

  • can u use a normal airstone instead of a limewood?

  • if you use a normal airstone . this white junk gets all over it and you cant get it off....

  • love the guitar

  • usually last 10-14 days with a regular soda bottle.the bigger the bottle with yeast, suger, and water the longer it will last

  • hi, how long it can be last?? thx. just connect the source bottle with the wood airstone by using air tube and put wood airstone into aquarium??? thx.

  • Great video! We have used co2 systems like this in lab cultures of algae. If you have just plants in the tank, this is an absolutely perfect system to have, since the co2 really doesn't need to be regulated.

  • this isn't a criticism of your setup, just DIY yeast systems in general. it seems dangerous to me because you can't adjust or stop the CO2 injection. how do you measure the amount of CO2 and what do you do when it's too much?

  • You measure co2 with a dropchecker and if you overdose waterchange..

  • Wat is needed is a reactor that dissolve 90-100% of all bubbles. Often this done by creating a reactor in combination with a water pump, some use the filter intake, which I wouldn't advice, is bad for impeller and it will decrease the capaity of the filter (less water turned over per hour).

  • ph fluctuation? the bottle not explode yet.i think it will hold up. i've been using the air stone for 2 months now.

  • You should also mention your user that they need a return valve. As for the CO2 to dissolve; an airstone is not enough. All it does is turning the CO2 into small bubbles hat immediately escape to the surface and only little CO2 wil be dissolved.

  • Air stones should be avoided. The can easlily clog up (it's not 100% CO2 that escapes out of the bottle!), resulting in a bottle explosion (that stuff stinks!) or lose tubing, which might empty your tank by accident.

  • No need for super hot water. All you need is water temperature of 38C, the ideal temp for yeast. Using one bottle is wrong, because once you refil you will get a PH fluctuation; bad for fish, often results in algae.
