The Uyghurs are a Turkic ethnic group living mainly in Tarim Basin, Western China under Chinese rule. They are app. 9 million. Uyghurs regard Hungarians as their far western relatives and however the melody of this piece of folk music is quite similar to Hungarian folk music. Greeting from Hungary!
