@xfireballl5 No you shouldn't have to change it, unless you need to. It'll operate sound fitted loco's. If your going for another DCC controller, it's down to personal pref & choice, budget etc.
I had no idea Model Trains had moved on so far. I remember my layout in the loft, electronic points had been introduced and my Dad ripped up my manual points one at a time to replace them. I had a lot of fun diverting the trains from the rail work. This is something else!
These videos are really tempting me to get DCC and fit sound and light throughout. I take it the sound is probably a little better quality in reality rather than through my cheap desktop speakers?
Yes, if you can see if your local modal shop can give you a demo of one of the sound loco's. I think you'll like DCC. I often wonder what it'll be like in another 10 or so years time?? :-) Cheers.
funny, here we're have a 40'C (113'F) heat wave! awesome sound! it sound amazingly real! (if u were wondering a live in australia so it's summer and not a freak winter)
Wow Australia, cool. Here it's snowing heavily & temps dropping down to minus 6 deg C. To hear / see this for real is even better than you see/hear it on here. All I need now is some exhaust clag!! Cheers.
Just checked the info sheet & it's function F7.Funnily enough,I've just been trying that function out about 20 mins ago. Will include that function in another video on this series, for you.Regards.
Having to do this reply again as for some reason YT have lost the original.Funnily enough I've just been trying out function 20 before you posted this reply. I'll do a video showing function 20 in this series for you.Regards,Cheers
Thank you.The 1st time you get one of these on your layout, it's like WOW!! It's great just to leave it & hear it ticking over :-) More to come, just uploading part 3 now.Cheers.
I have a Bachman E-Z command controller. I suppose I will have to change this to operate trains fitted with sound?
Can you recommend a controller. I don't have a massive layout.

It's going to intresting to see how far DCC control is going to develop on model railways. Sure opens up a lot more to operating. Cheers.

Do you have to trigger the acceleration/ deceleration noises from the control or are they automatic when you speed up/slow down?
CutnSpray 2 years ago
There automatic.Cheers.
