Where do Hong Kong people stand on the world map?

It's kind of the same thing with Taiwan. They belong to China yet people don't want to associate themselves with China. From my perspective, I see Hong Kong very different from China because i guess because people are more westernized because of British imperialism, HK itself is more westernized.

The land returned to China in 1997, but the people's minds and thoughts have not returned to China.

hahah, man i think the whole brit accent is slowly creeping up me... but yea just wanted to voice this concern.. its become more and more 'worrying' since ive come to the UK

@felxtang def dude. i'm always telling people how im from hong kong and not china. but if it wasnt for the fact that hong kong is politically a part of china, we might as well be our own country. i mean we have our own olympics team, our own flag, our language, culture etc.
