  • NO my stupid friend there are very few states that allow these since 1998!!!! And are now very illegal in Illinois!! YOU need to get your terms and concept of laws defined!!

  • @tannerbob69 No you are the stupid one. There are 32 States that allow them: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California (2"), Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

  • So tannerbob69 you didn't do your homework and decided to be ignorant. Some of the 32 states allow carry concealed, others not concealed, and others only for collection.

However ALL 50 states allow carry for Military, Law Enforcement, & Disabled persons with the use of one arm.

So illegal is not true you are ignorant and very much apart of the problem of misinformation on this subject. So keep reading and get educated.

  • @Roadsideimports yes but i know TN only lets you collect them, you cant bring them anywhere in public

  • If you ship to a state where its illegal is there any way they can tell what it is and confiscate it?

  • @tannerbob69 There is no such a state in the US. There are states where they are restricted to the military, the police, and one armed persons, but that by no means at all means they are illegal. You need to get your terms and your concept of laws correctly defined.

  • If u ship to a state that it's illegal is there any way they can tell what it is and confiscate it in shipping?

  • hehe his bag says scotland

  • Is there a safety lock on this knife?

  • @xxjaykiddxx No, it takes alot of pressure to slide the trigger forward and no double action OTF has a safety because of this

  • eh what song is this

  • where can i get one ?

  • SEND ME ONE OF THEsE, THING IS I LIVE IN TORONTO

  • Do you ship to Canada?I've been wanting to buy a few of the knives and things you sell for awhile now,but i don't want them to get confiscated while being shipped cause then i'd be S.O.L.!

  • @donny29dsm email me and we can chat about shipping options to Canada.

  • All of you guys commenting about how crappy this knife is need to get a clue. This is a collectible vintage otf knife, and much more reliable than the crappy modern nato otfs that give this one a bad name. It's no Microtech, I'll give you that...but this is not a total POS like a lot of you seem to be assuming. They are also very hard to find. They stopped making them in the late 80's.

  • @oAROWANAo

I actually have one of the old original ones, I'll upload a vid of it tomorrow

  • do you send this to Canadia?

  • Aye and Aye.

  • @mikecheesy1 u have 1?

  • how many times are you going to open and close it

  • Yeah it is a Piece of shit its nothing special I used to sell those in bars for 20 bucks brah!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • I sold out of this model quite some time ago, go to the website and see the new models I have instock.

  • i love your sight but i cant seem to find this knife on your sire can you tell me wat to look under?

  • No more left, I sold out of these quite some time back, but I do have plenty of other models.

  • is tg

    his leagle in texas

  • piece of shit

  • do you can send it to england or ireland too?

  • Email me

  • @hackletete and you'll automatically get a fine, it's illegal over there

  • UM Can you send to finland?

  • Not a problem, email me

  • they arent really illegall r they i have an older one

  • they are illegal in most places in the usa in new york you can carry one as long as you carrie a hunting or fishing license

  • Not true, they are legal in about half of the states so that is not most places. It is either half full or half empty not mostly.

  • let me resay that they are legal to own in alot of places but in alot of places it isnt legal to carry one UNLESS you carry a hunting and fishing license

  • Not true again. Some states allow you to carry them concealed some do not allow them to be concealed, the everywhere they are legal for law enforcement, military and one armed persons to carry. So they are legal but have some restrictions depending on the state. It is important to get your facts straight so you don't aid other idiots on their misconceptions.

  • @FUGITIIVE wow i dint know abot that license thing i might go get one now

  • most of the knives on your site are illegal in aus

  • Sadly they are illegal to import unless you get permits. But if you go to your local police and get cleared they issue permits to import things, so they aren't really illegal they are restricted and regulated.

  • i live in australia knives are illegal

i dont like it but i dont break the law!

aus might not have knives but it is a fair country

people from aus watchiong this dont buy knives they r illegal dont bother you will have problems with police/customs

    cya

  • That is not a true statement at all. Certain knives are illegal not all knives, then you can get permits for the ones that are restricted. So again restricted with permits is not illegal, you simply don't have your paperwork in order.

So it is poor that you talk out of your arse and don't know the facts.

  • And thanks to your stupid laws restricting things by the liberal sissies that are in the government crimes rates have rose 45% in areas they did not decrease.

The Aussie people are awesome but the liberal sissy governments of any nation are the downfall of society period.

The government is not there to protect you it is not their job.

Make Australia the better place again and get the government out of your lives.

  • dude i got one but its hard when i press it down i think its jammed i had to use 2 hands lol

  • i love the style of this knife but nato otfs are crap . I wish they would make a high quality one with the same model

  • ive got this knife but the rivets arent installed, its a kit so to say, are there any instructions out there that show how to assemble

  • You have to peen down the rivets with a hammer.

  • whats the name of the song

  • hey roadside imports can I buy knives from the link on the description even if I live in the UK???

  • Aye

  • Comment removed

  • In the UK all switchblades OTF's or any automatic knife is illegal. Full stop.

If you own one your damn lucky like me but you have to keep it indoors cas the knife law of 1996 ended the automatic knife trade in Britian.

But if your lucky theres plenty of neat Stateside places you can buy your knife through provided they help you sneak it through customs LOL......

Good luck i got my blades years ago before the new laws came in.

  • Yeah I know its illegal. but my friends has a few collection of knives and guess what I dont even have to buy an auto knife now i asked him this morning if he can give me one hE SAID YES!!!

  • Man thats awesome...... I wish i knew your friend LOL Is his name Chris? I had a mate called that who sold me my first switchblade years back.....

doubt it's the same chap though...it would be well wierd if it was.......

  • Hehe his name is Joe the knife he gave me wasnt as good as this though he gave me them really cheap ones T-T but it's better than nothing.

BTW reason why i didnt reply straight away is cuz I was on holiday!!

  • I guess the UK is disarming its self ready for another German Invasion .First rule of all opressive governments -----disarm the people -- then take away their rights, Tax the crap out of them ---- let them eat cake .. GOt it --- buy as many weapons as you can while you can.

So says the master---- dont listen see if i give a crap.

  • Valid points, crime rates with guns rose 45% after they banned guns. That worked out really well now didn't it, crimes involving home invasions and against the elderly were some of the most affected.

You take away things that you deems as weapons because you have a society of morons who can't seem to see that they are tools then you get some liberal idiots who ban things.

Then the ban only effect law abiding citizens, what criminal would ever turn in things?

  • Wow you can strap this up ur wrist then gete blade out and thrust it towards ur targett then secretly pulling the blade back.!!!

    Just like in assasin's creed.

  • what song is this its awesome hah

  • thats a $20 knife u retard

  • Ok, I want something with that body/case, but it need to be OTF like so. The problem is, I don't want cheesy Camo, nor do I want something that seems so...well off market or crappy. i want something like that, with quality, and looks more like an italian stiletto, but again, needs to be OTF.

    Have anything like that yet?

  • Honestly all the models that have the bolsters are cheesy. I think it might be time I make a model like this as well.

  • Damn, that's a cool knife!

  • looks plasticky

  • there isnt anything as an otf stiletto beacause they a hole different thing

  • No, you are completely wrong and misinformed.

Any knife can be a stiletto if the blade configuration is that of a stiletto.

A stiletto is a short knife or dagger not a shoe, with a long slender blade of various designs. This dagger is primarily a stabbing weapon: its narrow shape, ending in a rigid pointed end, allows it to penetrate deeply. It is not suited for cutting, even with edged examples.

  • A typical early stiletto was a one-piece cast-metal handle and blade, which was then hammer-forged in a V-groove anvil, producing a triangular blade cross section without any sharpened edges. Other examples have round, square, and diamond cross sections. The word stiletto may sometimes be used in American English to refer to a switchblade.

  • lol we use stiletto's as letter openers

  • no offense, but that's a piece of shit.

  • None taken, it makes for a good letter opener that is for sure.

  • @pocketbanana Its a lot better than the non-pinned versions. I don't think the people that voted this comment up are properly educated about the different variations of Nato otf knives. It's no MIcrotech, but the fact that the body of this particular model is held together by pins makes it kinda rare. The pinned models are much more sturdy than the shitty chinese Natos that are being made. Suprising to see these for sale since they've been out of production since the eighties.

  • @oAROWANAo Maybe you're right about the pinned version. I remember back in the late 80s when I started to get into knives I bought one that looked just like this and it broke within a month. Bought another one and the exact same thing. Can't remember if it was pinned or not though. In my opinion if you get an OTF knife, you should get a really good quality one because of the inherent weakness of the mechanism.

  • @pocketbanana I agree that the standard Nato mechanism is inherently weak. But the pinned ones (or at least all of the pinned ones I've ever handled) have been built using stronger materials with a much more robust internal design. I've seen them stabbed into tables very hard, and still continue to work afterwards. The new age Natos would instantly break if they were stabbed into anything. Like I mentioned though, even pinned ones are still nowhere near the quality of modern USA made otfs.

  • @oAROWANAo yeah this does look a bit stronger than the ones i bought as a kid. i'd be hesitant to trust my life with an OTF knife i think. maybe a microtech or piranah or benchmade infidel or something along those lines would be my choice.but i'm perfectly happy with my spyderco and i can flick it open just as fast as any OTF can be deployed. also an OTF is primarily for stabbing dudes and has little EDC value, and i think most people don't stab dudes too often :) this knife is novelty to me

  • how much did it coast?

  • Don't remember what I sold these for, I do have the green models for sale still.

  • does this knife have more or less faster and powerful release ( when the blade comes out . . . i think ) than theTomb Raider 2.0? plz answer

  • The Tomb Raider is a better made model then this one this model is about 10 years old.

  • i live in ohio should i be able to order a knife like this off the internet?

  • That all is relative to you who are and if you are a qualified person, it is up to you to establish all the applicable laws that you need to adhere to. You can go onto my website for help and information.

  • thats better action than benchmade LAME

  • That is for sure Benchmade makes overpriced junk.

  • agreed

  • Its not low quality. I built mine, and if it hits a wall, it won't break. Blade is nice too.

    On a scale of one to 10, I give it a 7.

  • sorry but... this looks like a plasticy crappy knife :\ crap looking screws, crap looking blade (I know it could put one through me, but what if you miss and hit a wall or something? screwed much?) Just strikes me as low quality. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • Never mind, I did some work and found it all out. Thanks for the help.

By the way, I have two of the knives shown in this video. One is camo, one is green.

  • I've been trying to find out if they are legal for weeks. Did the 1958 switchblade ban get canceled?

  • I know you can build them, but I want to know if I can legally own one in the state of Kentucky. Thanks.

  • They are legal in Kentucky and if you want to carry it you have to get a concealed weapons permit.

  • So the one you show in this video is legal to own in certain states?

By the way, I said correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry I didn't know.

  • OTF knives aren't illegal. All spring powered knives are illegal, except the assisted blade knife. (Experts correct me if I'm wrong)

  • Completely wrong and talking out your corn hole. States determine the laws, many states they are completely legal for all some to have and others to have and to carry. Some restrict them and prohibit carry. Then all law enforcement and military and one armed person are allowed them in any state anywhere. So illegal no not at all, restricted yes. Get the facts first before you make comments otherwise you just stand out as a peanut gallery comment.

  • How come OTF knives are illegal, but regular out the side ones arent?

  • Thats not true any blade that doesn't open manualy is considered a switchblade. And if its ok to own and carry one varies between state or even some citys.

  • o, well i live in canada and OTF switchblades are illegal. But i have like 5 out the side spring assisted knives. and theyre NOT illegal

  • There can be a side opening switchblade that is opened with only the labor of pressing a stud or button, don't get those confused with spring assisted side opening knifes, that will open automaticly at a 20-45 degree angle. I'm sure you know what your talking about though.

  • Almost right....But you messed up on one point, the use of the word "button" No assisted knife has a button in the handle that deploys the blade. The thumb stud or tang flipper which is on the back of the blade are then moved to the position that engages the spring torsion system to deploy. If they have a button it would be a button lock model but has nothing to do with how to open it.

  • OK, thanks for the correction.

  • hey, i enjoy your videos alot. it helps me greatly when selecting a new knife. i see you have the link for the nato otf stilleto dual action but i cannot find it under the site. maybe im a fuckin idiot but when i search for it it comes up with a similiar knife, but not the same look as the one you display. please help.

  • This model is sold out, about 2 years ago now, so all I have is the other NATO model that is listed now. Just hit the OTF section under Automatic Knives and you'll see what I currently have in stock at this time.

  • just a question jc if are stilettos and butterflys illigal , i really want one but dont know if i can have one due to he laws

  • Depends where you are and what the laws are remember that city laws and county laws can be harsher than the state laws. But overall most laws are about carrying the item into public so that does not mean they are illegal that means they are prohibited and not allowed to carry or conceal on you or anywhere in public. So you can't be a retard and go to the bar with it but you can have it outside your house, or at the private lake you fish on hunt on.

  • cool!

  • As for pirana, Ive thought seriously about acquiring one but I think they, along with the M.O.D harkins, are an ugly looking O.T.F, and Im more than likely going to add the microtech makora II with the semi serated on both side blade to the others. Anyway, God bless U.S knife makers. P.s, If I had enough money , or when i do, I want a brian tighe Damascus custom :)

  • wow. I have only seen the infidel on you tube and always thought benchmade were a great quality U.S.A made knife. Im not sure about the infidel, but my mini reflex is a nice knife with a nice action, but its not an O.T.F. Yes I agree that microtech are the best O.T.F autoknives, I love my scarab, I see you reviewed a tanto, not many of them for sale that I could find, mines the 2 tone single edge with serated edge version. But I just love the protech and they scream quality.

  • that looks cheap and nasty

  • Compared to your Microtech yes, to your piece of shit Benchmade no. Microtech & Piranha are very well made models & are the best on the market. Benchmade is overpriced junk with a shit powered spring & this NATO model has more balls to it than the Infidel & for that kind of comparison it is quite sad because they should not even be able to be compared. Microtech & Piranha run circles around the Benchmade. This NATO can't even compare to a Microtech or Piranha but can to Benchmade's junk.

  • i know most otfs have some bladeplay but does this one have a lot? alsothe handguard looks different on this one than the one on your website, is this because its an older model, if it is do you have any more cuz this one looks cooler

  • I just ordered mine I will love it Alot I think but you never know.

  • Fuck, I used to have one of those exept mine said commando on it

  • I was wondering.... Can you put the handle up to somebody and switch the thing up that triggers the blade. Would it actully go like in to there stomach?

  • Ofcourse not. Go look up a Russian Pilum Balistic Knife if that is what you are interested in.

  • doubt it, it usually causes the blade to get off track, which is easy to fix.. Since you don't have a safety on this OTF you don't want it to switch open on accident and run the risk of stabbing through skin.. most likely a finger or your hand..

  • What? This is one of the cheapest OTF models out there, it does not have the power to do anything, a Microtech would leave a mark and hurt but it wouldn't do very much damage either. Your pipe dream is not reality like I said go look up a Pilum knife if that is the sort of shit you want.

  • Nah im not intrested in it i just needed to know. Im not very familiar with otf switchblades.

  • HEY!!! my uncle gave me one of those about 2 weeks ago!maybe he bought it from assistedknife!i luv my otf more then ever now!!!

  • That a nice knife but FUCK NATO,and fuck NATO Troops.

  • how much does that kinfe cost?

  • $39.99

  • Question, could you buy those anywhere in the U.S. legally/illegally? Or is it only the military who's allowed to have them?

Suggestion, do a video on an Italian Frank Beltrame Switchblade with one of those Blade Guards on the top.

    Other than that, nice knives.

  • thanks for the dont get hurt advise and im sorry if i made statements first and asked questions later anyways how cheap can a stiletto switchblade be?

  • Depends where they are made. Cheap tends to be China, then better is Taiwan, better yet Germany, Italy, and the US.

  • i wanted the cheapest possible(but good) but i always wanted to have a natiurally italian stiletto!btw can u do some kind of test so that i can see my real knowledge about knifes?

  • lool thats not a dual aktion! its only full auto switchblade!

  • Hey retard, learn how to spell for one thing. Second is it is a dual action or double action OTF model how ever you want to fucking say it. There are Single Action OTF models which the button deploys the blade and you have a manual reset. Dual Action or Double Action OTF means the trigger button opens and closes the knife. So remember never go full retard.

  • thats how any OTF works like,or at least i think...and i only said aktion because i am portuguese and we use the "k" letter a lot... so please dont call me retard besides im only expanding my knowledge after all im only thirteen so chill...

  • So hopefully you understand what I wrote about Single Action and Double Action which is sometimes called Dual Action as well for OTF models. And now you are not a retard but remember don't make statements when you don't understand, ask questions. I answer pretty harsh that is how I am because there is so many idiots on youtube and in life in general that I have no patience for things like that so don't freak out or get hurt.

  • lol, have you just not seen fucking anything? OTF's are actully single action a lot, and just look up cupid otf. its similar to the one The Joker uses in the new batman :)

  • the knife is so simple to open that it even isnt a trick anymore....

  • whats this song?

i like the kife that come out and in the top..

i want one that looks like something eles then a knife...like a lighter or something

  • I do all my own music, some is some stuff I did 15 years ago

  • i love this knife

  • Do you ship this article to Holland?

  • Yes go to AssistedKnife

  • These knives are illegal in Holland. But I'm a collector, so do you think this product will pass border check?

  • The kit models are available.

  • That type of OTF, I had a very similar one.

Only difference was no camo pattern.

Mine sucked, the least amount of resistance against the tip and the lock would fail.

I guess side open switchblades are more reliable.

I always wondered if MicroTec OTF are reliable and would handle it better.

  • lets say i want to stab into somthing hard like a skull would the blade go back in if i apply enough pressure?

  • Take your hand, face your open palm towards you and then smack yourself as hard as you can in the forehead. Continue to do this until retarded thoughts are no longer present.

  • im not joking you stooge i like to hunt if the blade comes in contact with bone will the blade go back into the handle if i push to hard

  • All you have to say is after being deployed is the lock up solid so that if I come into solid contact will it hold. Answer yes. Try wording things a bit better so you are better understood otherwise your questions fall into line with the 15 year old ones on here and I do answer them harshly.

  • It really doesn't make an sense though. OTF's really aren't built for heavy abuse - especially against bone.

  • i wouldnt suggest using an otf knife for hunting, thats too much for that kind of knife. if your looking for a knife that will hold up to heavy bone, such as those found in game such as deer, get yourself a k-bar, those will take anything.

  • yes i have two USMC k bars but i was looking for something smaller like a folder or OTF but ill stick with my k bars

  • yea, as far as i know, folders arent the best thing to use on bone, you need something with a heavy blade, and a tang that goes the entire length of the handle.

  • True, fixed blades that is what hunters use as Skinners and Bowies not Folders. Jazzmancarron knows what he is talking about.

  • i had this knife when i was 13 excactly the same ''nato military''now im 29 if you see what i have now you'll be dazzled!!

  • i found a black one of these in my playroom and no one in my family ever bought one. it didnt have any company lable or name. insted of camo and black it was black and steel or some other type of metal. sometimes it wouldnt spring out all the way. also if u put ur finger up to it and push the button it wud hit ur finger and stop. i gess its partially broken or somethin cuz it still locks and cuts.

  • These are legal to own almost anywhere, but laws in many states are different from each other about out-the-front knives on if you can carry them or not.

  • cant wait till i get mine

  • are these legal in Nevada?

  • Depends who you are and what classification you have, look the laws up they are listed on my site for help.

  • are those legal in canada and where can i get one

  • No ofcourse not. That's why you never have seen one. Can you order it ofcourse you can because you are an adult and responsible for your own actions. It is listed in the video where to go AssistedKnife

  • So you sell to people even though its illegal where they live? Like if someone lived in Cali you would sell them a bali or a switchblade

  • No I don't sell to people where it is illegal, you are responsible for adhering to your own state laws period. You are in breach of the law and responsible for your own actions and my terms and conditions state this, if you breach the terms then you violated the agreement and you are held liable period.

  • does it come in any other colors?

  • Yes, black or green.

  • get some better music i cant stand that crap nice videos but shit music

  • are switchblades legal in North Carolina

  • Yes, and legal to carry as long as not concealed.

  • Does that mean ur allowed to carry it in your hand?

  • No that might constitute an aggressive act and wind you up in jail. That would be like saying owe you can't conceal a gun in our state and then you asking oh great so I can walk around with it in my hand. Does that point the question you just asked into perspective.

  • I thought thats what it ment

  • CHILLLLL!!

  • haha yea here in canada its 6inches is illeagal

  • ya but a good 3 incher will keep any guys off you most of the time

  • no, ur mistaken. ALL switchblades (and balisong) are illegal in Canada, not just if its over 6 inches. ur thinking of California. and fwiw a knife isnt classified as a pocket knife if it exceeds 6 inches in length, and I dont think ur allowed to carry them if over 6 inches but idk.

  • The Canadian Criminal Code states exactly this:

In sec. (84)(1)(b) "any knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force, or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device attached to the handle of the knife".

There are no other knife banning laws in Canada.
