The reason the haruhi thing on google translate works is because you capitalized it. the same thing happens with sailor moon, you get bishojo senshi sailor moon. It's a copyrighted character. if you don't capitalize it then you just get haruhi.

I can't believe it. I accidentally watched the first 6 episodes in chronilogical order whereas 6 was actually 14. I'm seriously annoyed with the way anime dubbing sites ordered them and now it feels pointless to watch the rest. You should watch the whole thing in chronological, the random order thing is totally pointless, it adds nothing to the plot and just chucks in loads of spoilers for the main plot.

Like for example, in the original order you find out that they aren't human before any of them tell Kyon.

Also the second season takes place before the end of the first, so if you want to watch all 24 episodes in the right order you need to watch both seasons at the same time.

Also, a word of warning. The episodes titled "The Endless Eight" are absolute garbage, it's litterally the same episode 8 times. Watch the first one, and the last one, and if you really want to any one of the 6 in between, the 6 in the middle are almost indentical and none of them provide any insight into the characters or plot that you don't get from the first one.

@Playingnosound The anime is fantastic and definitely worth your time! It's hard to give an accurate explanation without giving up massive spoilers, but the series is about a very strange and impulsive high school girl who, when introducing herself to her class, states she's not interested in anyone except aliens, time travelers, and espers. The narrator and male protagonist tries his luck at having a "normal" friendship but winds up starting a strange, yet wonderful chain of events. Watch it!

It's not bad? It's half way between a harem fantasy anime and a slice of life style.

It's better than most harem drivel like Love Hina, although it does suffer some similar problems, but it's significantly worse than most slice of life shows like of Azumanga Daioh or Genshiken.

If you're after fantasy romance like this I'd probably recommend Midori No Hibi. Not that Midori No Hibi is particularly great, it just has a similar feel to this without so many problems.

This show had tons and tons and tons of potential, seriously, but 14 episodes was really really too short. the Season 2 is not considered because all of the season 2's episodes were 'A Slice of Life' episodes, which are non-plot-related episodes, and only showing mini stuff each episode.

And it's for that Endless Eight crap that I don't think we'll ever see a third season. Don't know what Kyoani was thinking--or if they were--but it was unfair to expect us to sit through it just because we love Haruhi.
