You are right that it is called the C7 rather then C dominant 7th cause C dominant 7th is a totally different chord. Its G (The dominant or 5th note in the C scale) B, D and F.
also, i am having a hard time not pressing the other sharps/flats when playing the G with my finger shoved in between, i keep hitting the other ones as i do it and it's really hard to switch back to other chords afterwards, any help?
thanks for the video, but my book i am learning from wants me to play it with my left hand, it's really hard transitioning over to a 4 finger chord =( i didn't realize i would have to stuff my finger between those 2 keys just to do it lol....
